     ACT I                    CHAPTER 9
( its nice to have a friend. )

IT HAD BEEN EXACTLY SIX MONTHS SINCE JULIETTE WAS CROWNED VICTOR OF THE 68TH HUNGER GAMES.

And it was safe to say that nothing had gotten better. She was currently sat up in her bed shaking and drenched in sweat from a nightmare.

It was the day of her victory tour today which meant that Finnick was coming back.

Juliette and Finnick had developed a very close friendship. Even though he spent half of his time in the Capitol because of his 'agreement' with president Snow.

He had told Juliette whilst they were on the beach looking for shells since Jude wanted to paint some earlier on.

Deciding she wasn't going to get anymore sleep, Juliette looked to the clock which rested on the bedside table of her new home.

The clock read, '7:49' in bold red letters. She knew that Ophelia, Venus, Octavia and Angelica would be here any time now anyway since she had her virtual interview with Caeser at ten.

Juliette padded down the stairs and into the kitchen to see her mother in the kitchen with Jude sat on a stool eating pancakes.

Her mother, Ellis, was the first to notice her eldest daughter, "Good morning Jules, would you like some breakfast?" Looking towards her.

Juliette nodded at her mother, "Yes please." With a smile she walked over to her sister giving her a small peck on the top of her blonde hair and rustling it.

Jude smacked her hand away, "Hey! Im not a baby." She pouted like a child whilst Juliette laughed at her sister.

Ellis gave her daughter a plate of two pancakes and a glass of water. They were able to afford the luxury of actual meals now with the amount of money that Juliette has now.

The Ambrose family sat round the kitchen benches eating there food and talking about the day, "So," her mother began, "How long until they get here?"

Juliette shrugged, "I honestly don't know. But i'm guessing in around forty minutes since my interview is at ten." Putting her plate and glass in the sink she turned away.

"Im going to head down to the market to get some bread." She told her mother, watching as she nodded.

She walked upstairs and got ready to leave. She wore a plain pair of black leggings and a long sleeved light green t-shirt since it was winter. Juliette paired it with a small black jacket and her boots.
