^ Three Brother Rock ^

First Person - Neteyam

(Taken place after war - There was no war, so Neteyam does not die, your welcome<3 Also in this story Neteyam and Ao’nung are- somewhat friends lol)

I directed the ilu I was on to the surface of the sea. I took a gulp of air, and splashed back down. I raced through the sea, Kiri with Tuk on my right, and Lo’ak with Tsireya, and Aonung on my left. I was in between, the only responsible one here. Scratch that, I and Aonung are the only responsible ones here.. even though Aonung can be childish at some points…

I looked towards Aonung to see him already staring at me. He was doing that a lot, it was weird, maybe it was because he still wasn’t used to a forest avatar spending so much time with him.

Our parents have forced us to go on fishing trips together to ‘get along.’ It didn’t work.. sometimes. Usually we would fight, but other times we would talk, have a good conversation, ya know?

He quickly looked away when he noticed I had caught him staring, but quickly looked back and did some hand signals to me. During our fishing trips he had taught me to speak the hand language so we could talk underwater, I still wasn’t the best, but I could at least understand someone when they used the hand signals to speak with me,

“Hey,” he signaled, “Wanna escape this babysitting nightmare? I think Tsireya and Kiri got it,” he quickly signaled when no one was watching,

I looked towards Kiri and nodded back at him. I had the ilu I was riding to the dive down when no one noticed, Ao’nung had quickly moved to the side when no one was watching him. All were busy with the path in front of them.

I surfaced the sea and took deep breaths when I was above water. I began looking around, I saw no Aonung, did he not see where I went?

I opened my mouth and let out a bird signal we made up to call each other when lost, I used that signal a couple times with no luck. I stopped and looked around again. I heard a splash behind me and quickly turned the ilu I was sitting on, I saw a tired Aonung rising from the sea. The ilu he was on was no where to be seen.

I raced over to him and reached out my hand, he quickly took it and I pulled him up. He sat behind me and rested his head on my shoulder, I realized he was leaning over a bit. Damn, had he grown taller than me? Awh, fuck that. It doesn’t matter, maybe it was a gene thing. Tonowari was a bit taller than my father.

(Yeah, yeah, usually Aonung and Neteyam would be the same height- but this is wattpad, okay? Lemme do what I want- Alright.)

Yep, definitely a gene thing. I realized that I might need to go find everyone else, and take everyone back to the village for rest. I bet Kiri went off to do her fish magic, though. It’s fine, I can find her.

I searched around for a bit until I felt warm hands around my waist,

“Aonung, what are you doing?”

I could feel him shrug, “I don’t want to fall off, I’m tired,”

I nodded, “Great..”

I looked around again until I realized we were near Three Rock Brother(s?), I turned the course towards them and sped up the pace, keeping above water. I put my hand over Aonungs to signal to him to hold on,

I pulled down slightly on the ilus reins, telling it to dive down. We hurried underwater towards the rocks and when we arrived I pulled up on the reins, and the ilu surfaced. I turned my head to look at Aonung, “Hey,” I flicked his forehead, “We are going to stay here for a bit, okay?”

Aonung lifted his head and nodded. He let go of my waist and I suddenly felt cold. I shrugged it off.

He stood up and looked towards me, handing a hand towards me, I took it and he pulled me up. The gentle creature swam away, Aonung held my hand until he found some shade under the rock,

We both sat down, it was a shitty area to sit, there were multiple rocks poking my bare ass.

Aonung could sense my discomfort, “It’s uncomfortable, huh?”

I nodded quickly, “The damn rocks are poking my ass,”

He chuckled, “Yeah, mine too,”

He looked away and shook his head, a smirk on his lips. I smiled softly. I never noticed how pretty his eyes were, they reminded me of diamonds,

I didn’t realize I was staring at him until Aonung snapped his fingers in my face, bringing me back to reality,

“Hey, you were staring,” he raised his eyebrow at me,

I shrugged, “Sorry, I must have zoned out,”

“You zoned out staring at me?” Aonung chuckled, “C'mon,”

He stood and began walking back to the shore, walking slowly to miss all the tiny rocks. I quickly got up and followed him. Looking down while I walked to make sure I did not step on a small marine animal or something sharp.

Aonung called an ilu near, and once it arrived he hopped on and made the bond. He turned to me,

“Are you coming, forest boy?”

I raised an eyebrow at him and walked to the shore, sitting behind him,

“Clearly, fish lips,”

He chucked and bit his lip, “Fish lips, eh? That certainly is an offensive name,”

I shrugged, “Good to hear!”

He turned around and chuckled, his eyes lighting up in the bright sun. I smiled at him, showing my front teeth a bit.

“You really have a beautiful smile,” Aonung said, he suddenly widened his eyes and turned around,

I tilted my head at him, it seem he had not meant to say that. My face turned a light blue,

“Really?” I asked him, skeptical about how he would answer,

He slowly nodded, looking back at me for a second before tightening his grip on the ilu in front of him,

“Well, thank you, even if you didn’t mean it… I know we are only supposed to get along by the orders of our parents,” I explained softly,

“I meant what I said, I just didn’t mean to say it out loud,” he chuckled under his breath, “And I really would like to be friends with you, and not by order of our parents. Real friends, we can talk, go hunting… do whatever other friends do,”

I smiled, “I actually really like that idea,”

“Consider us as friends then, reef boy,” I added,

“This will be fun, jungle boy,” he replied with a smirk on his lips,

Well this sucks. I liked it a lot better a while ago >;(

This clearly takes place in the future- the future where Neteyam does not die *cry*

Anyway, I have only found around 15 stories of these two, so I wanted to add another story to that amount,
I hope you enjoy and I will defenitly try to post more often, maybe every Saturday? ^^
