*Beep Beep*
Nora's emerald eyes slowly open as she hears the alarm go off beside her. She looks to see the clock read 5 a.m. and realizes that Johnny messed with her alarm. The beeping continues going off, which causes Eddie to grumble something while he pulls Nora close to his chest. Nora giggles when she hits his toned chest, then rustles his hair, "Baby, if you let me go, I can turn it off." She says, and Eddie huffs, "You have ten seconds." He says as he moves his arms away from Nora's waist. Nora quickly leaves Eddie's embrace to turn it off before returning to her comfort place. Eddie yawns as Nora nestles into his chest again, "What time is it?" He asks as he rubs his eyes, and Nora sighs, "It's five in the morning." She answers, and Eddie blinks, "Nora, why the hell do you have an alarm this early?" He asks. Nora scoffs as she goes to turn away, "Johnny did it, not me. I always set my alarm for seven." She pouts, but Eddie stops her, "You know, he's never going to learn that if you don't have enough sleep, you will actually kill him." He chuckles before peppering her face with kisses.
After a few more kisses, Eddie lies beside Nora, traces the design of her feather tattoo, and smiles at her, "What's on your mind, beautiful?" He asks and grins at the goosebumps popping up around her stomach. Nora squirms a little while running a hand through her long hair and sighs, "I'm just dreading today, and I don't know why." She answers as she stares at the ceiling. Eddie slowly nods as he rests his hand, "Is it because tomorrow is your birthday? Or something else?" He asks, and Nora shrugs, "It could be about my birthday," She agrees, then shakes her head, "I don't know. I just hate overthinking things." Nora groans before covering her face with her hands. Eddie sighs before he pulls Nora into his chest again, "Princess, if you want to miss school today, we can." He suggests, but Nora shakes her head, "I can't. I'm already going to miss most of tomorrow to handle something with my dad." She explains, and Eddie raises a brow, "What? What are you talking about, Princess?" He asks, and Nora sighs as she runs her fingers through his hair, "I don't want to tell you because I don't want to jinx it," She replies, "You'll find out tomorrow. Promise." She reassures him, which makes Eddie huff, "Fine, I guess I can wait." He agrees in an annoyed tone.
Nora smiles as she taps Eddie's nose before leaving his embrace to get off the bed, and Eddie's jaws drop, "Um, excuse me?" He asks, and Nora looks over her shoulder, "Yes?" She responds while walking over to her dresser. Eddie adjusts his body on the bed and blinks at Nora, "Get your fine ass back in this bed right now." He orders while pointing to her spot beside him. Nora turns around and puts a hand on her hip, "Thank you for complimenting my ass, babe, but I'm not coming back to bed." She replies, and Eddie pokes his cheek with his tongue, "And why not?" He asks while crossing his arms. Nora throws her hair in a ponytail as she digs in her dresser, "Because I'm going to get a shower. Is that a problem?" She asks while picking up her red and black sweater, black skirt, and black lace bra and underwear. Nora hoped Eddie didn't notice the fishnet stockings she had hidden under her shirt. Lucky for her, Eddie was too busy checking out Nora's body in her cut-off shirt and shorts to notice them.
After Nora turns around, she sees Eddie's head tilt, but his eyes are focused on something else. When she clears her throat, Eddie slowly looks up before meeting her emerald-colored gaze, "Enjoying the view, babe?" She asks, and Eddie shrugs and chuckles, "I-I don't know what you're talking about, Princess." He lies before looking away. Nora slowly walks around the foot of the bed to the bathroom door and smirks, "Well, your boner says otherwise, honey." She teased as she walked in and laughed when she heard Eddie groan. Eddie couldn't believe Nora noticed it as he covered his face with her pillow, "As I said! You have a fine ass, babe!" He yells through the cushion muffling his shout. Eddie waits for Nora's witty response, but it doesn't happen. Instead, Eddie hears the shower running, which gives him an idea. He holds his breath as he quietly leaves the bed and walks over to the bathroom door, hoping Nora can't hear his feet squeak against the wood.
