A few minutes after Nero left Nico finally shows up to pick up Y/n.
"Phew, you had me scared there", She says as Y/n enters the van. "Don't worry about me. So what do we do now? Nero and Dante are on their way to the top again."
Nico shrugs and Lady and Trish do the same.

"Well, then I suggest we leave the Qliphoth. With Vergil back we don't have much time left. We need to go now, the rest will unfold itself."
The women all nod in agreement. "Then it's settled." Nico jumps into the driver's seat and starts the van once again.

As they ride through the Qliphoth they can only find a few enemies, most of them fighting each other aimlessly now that there's not much to protect. Vergil only ever wanted power, he has that now, and he only ever wanted to beat Dante. Giving him passage for a final duel would mean that all remaining enemies should grant him immunity.

After a long and bumpy ride they finally break through the tree's wall and leave into. The outside world that is being destroyed by the Qliphoth's ascension into space.

"What now", Lady asks as the ground beneath them starts rumbling. "We ride!" Nico stomps her foot onto the gas pedal with the goal of leaving the area as quickly as possible.
They are not as strong as the Family of Sparda. They have to run.

As the rumbling slowly grows weaker Nico stops the van with sweat rolling down her forehead.
"Wow, almost thought we wouldn't make it", She says sending a wave of confusion towards the others. "So what you're saying is you almost killed us", Trish asks mockingly.
"No, no! We're fine, see?"

As the other women continue to talk Y/n suddenly hears a ring. A ring coming from her bag that she dropped, Nero must have picked it up as well. She rummages through her things until she finds the source of the ringing noise. It's her phone.

While the others continue to talk Y/n sneaks outside to accept the call, almost expecting what's about to come. "Nero", She asks but is only met with a sigh. "Are you okay?"

"Y/n...", He sighs. "When I was a kid I was alone. Kyrie and Kredo were all I knew. And now all of a sudden I find out I have a family."

Y/n smiles to herself as she recognizes the dialogue. "What am I supposed to do with that", He asks before falling silent, clearly conflicted with his emotions.

In this sequence Y/n is replacing Kyrie, she has to encourage him.

"Nero, you have a good heart, you know what's right and what's wrong. I trust that you will do the right thing because you know what you have to do."

She can hear a hum from the other side of the line.

"Thanks, I guess that's all I needed to hear. I have one last thing to take care of. Then I'm coming home."
"I love you, Nero."

Those words just slipped out, it felt like the right moment to confess. He needs the courage and knowing that he is loved might help.

"I love you too, Y/n."
