For my last days in Evergreen I spent all my time with Monty and Scott. I didn't want to leave them behind, but I needed to be with my family.

I had packed up all the clothes I wanted to keep and packed up Jeff's clothes as well. Leaving Evergreen also meant leaving Jeff in the past.

On my last day in Evergreen I woke up to a sleeping Monty on my side and a sleeping Scott on my floor.

I didn't wanna waste my time left with them. I got up and went to the bathroom. I took a shower and got dressed for the day. I quickly wrote down a note telling the guys J was going to Monets for a little bit.

While I was there, Courtney sat at my table, across from me. I rolled my eyes and started to grab my things.

"Wait!" Courtney exclaimed. "Just listen to what I have to say, please."

I slouch a little and nod to her, erring her know to continue.

"I'm sorry, for everything." She started.

"Thank you." I said. "But I don't forgive you."

"It's just, I've had a crush on you for so long and you never noticed me, so I did stuff to make you notice me."

"Wait, so raping me with a broom handle was just because you had a fucking crush on me?" I scoffed.

"Yes." she nodded.

"That's fucked up, and you're fucking insane." I told her as I walked out of Monets.

I walked back to my house, passing the cemetery. I made the stop there and sat at Jeff's grave.

"I'm leaving tomorrow morning." I said aloud.

"I'm moving to New York City with mom and dad. I only said yes to make them happy, and because living alone is surprisingly, well, lonely."

"So this is my final goodbye to you Jeffery. I love you, but I'm moving on now. I hope wherever you go you're happy. Goodbye."

I got up and wiped the dirt off my clothes. I waved to the headstone. I walked away from the cemetery and walked back to my house.

As I walked in I saw Monty and Scott holding two boxes. They were wrapped into pretty paper.

"What are these?" I asked in a joking tone.

They looked at each other and said "Going away gifts" at the same time. They had clearly practiced that.

I sat down and opened Scott's box first, inside was a framed picture of us from when we were younger. Also in the box was his baseball hat and a stuffed animal.

I looked up at Scott and gave him a hug. Monty handed me his box and I began to open it.

As I opened the actual box, I saw plaid. I stopped opening it and I looked up at him. He gave me a meaningful smile and gestured me to continue.

As I continued to open the box there were some of Monty's favorite flannels in the box, and some of his flannels that I loved on him. Also in the box was a simple note saying "look up".

I looked up at Monty and he held a smaller box. I stood up and looked at him, lovingly.

"Paige Marie Atkins, I love you, and even though you're leaving for now, I have faith that me and you will always be together. I have this promise ring, to promise you that one day I will marry you." Monty proposed.

In shock I started to cry, happy tears though. I kissed Monty and smiled at him wide.

"So I'll take that as a yes?" Monty said, just like the first time we ever kissed.

I smiled and laughed as I put the ring on.

"I love you Montgomery de la Cruz."

"I feel very left out." Scott laughed from the couch.

"I love you too, Scotty." I smiled at him.

"You're the best thing to happen to me Paige." Monty said before kissing me.

"And you're the best thing that has happened to me. You helped me when no one else knew J wasn't okay. You made me feel safe, and protected, and loved. You're my hero Monty. You're my healer." I said to Monty before kissing him passionately.

A/N- okay this was my first book, and I know it's probably my all over the place, but feedback would be MUCH appreciated! I hope you guys enjoyed!
