Ronnie's POV

There she laid, her entire body practically on top of mine. She was asleep, her beautiful lips parted slightly as she lightly snored. I couldn't sleep, not without knowing I'd be leaving in a few days to go back to LA. I didn't know how I would tell her, but I needed to do it soon.

I didn't want to lose her, not again, never again.

I ran my hand through her hair, smiling as she unconsciously leaned against my touch. Her hand reached up, meeting my chest as her eyes fluttered open. She looked up at me, weakly smiling then letting her head fall into my lap.

"Good morning my Dear Juliet," I said, playing with her hair.

"Hi," she mumbled, yawning. "What time is it?"

I checked my phone, seeing three missed calls from Crissy. "10:30," I said, "Juliet I gotta take a call real quick."

She whined when I began to move, making me chuckle. I stood, making my way to her bathroom to call Crissy. I stepped inside and closed the door, pressing the call button.

"Ronnie!" I heard her high pitched voice.

"What's wrong?" I asked, assuming it was something about Willow.

"Where are you?" She asked.

"Juliet's place," I responded.

"You were there all night?" She questioned, seeming mad.

"Yes," I answered, "what did you want?"

"Willow asked where you were, I need you to come home," she said quickly.

I groaned. I knew Willow didn't even ask anything, Crissy just wanted me to watch her while she went and did something. "I'll be there soon."

I hung up, stepping out of the bathroom and back to the living room where Juliet sat, rubbing her eyes. She looked at me, worry on her face. "What's wrong?" She asked.

"Nothing, I just need to get home to Willow," I shrugged, sitting next to her. She looked disappointed but nodded. "Hey," I said, grabbing her hand, "can I take you out to dinner tomorrow night?"

"I'd like that," she smiled, nodding eagerly.

"Alright, well I have to get going, I'll pick you up at 6, yeah?" I asked, standing. She stood with me, walking to the door.

"Sounds good," she responded, opening the door for me.

"Bye babe," I kissed her cheek and walked out the door.

I froze for a second, realizing what I'd just called her and done. Fuck.

Juliet's POV

I stood, shocked by the name and the kiss. I closed the door, walking back to the couch. I laid on my back, staring up at the ceiling and realizing what was happening in my life. Everything was practically perfect right now.

Pulling out my phone, I texted Chelsea to come over. I needed someone to talk to about this.

I laid and thought about Ronnie. He was so much better than he used to be, happier, more romantic, more... mature. Ronnie had a fucking daughter, it continued to blow my mind. Willow was amazing, the sweetest kid I'd met, though I hadn't really met that many kids. She was beautiful, she looked just like Ronnie.

My door slammed open, revealing Chelsea looking excited as she held two coffees in her hands. She quickly shut the door and sat on the couch with me.

"Spill," she squealed, handing me my coffee.

I grinned, "we kissed."

She let out a small scream of excitement, "oh my god, was it good?"

"It was always good," I smiled, looking down.

She stared at me, "well," I raised an eyebrow, "tell me more."

"I met his daughter," I said, sipping my coffee, "and his ex girlfriend." I mumbled that last part.

"Shit, what happened?"

"I mean, she hates my guts," I laughed. "Willow is really sweet though."

"How do you know she hates you?" She asked.

"She literally told me to leave after I held Willow," I laughed.

"What'd Ronnie do?"

"He told me to stay," I couldn't help but grin. Chelsea squealed.

"Holy shit, why the fuck aren't you dating him?" She asked.

My smile fell, "it's complicated."

"No it's not," she said, "just tell him you want to be with him."

"That's not how it works Chelsea," I sighed.

"Yes it is, that's how I married Colt."

"Colt isn't the lead singer of a band that tours, Colt didn't have a daughter, it's not the same," I responded.

"Juliet-"

"Stop."

"What did I do?" She asked, looking sad.

"You're getting on my nerves," I glared, "you know I hate when people keep pressuring me."

Chelsea stopped talking, she ended up passing out on my couch. I sat in silence, thinking about Ronnie and how much I missed him.

————

I stood in my bedroom, applying my makeup. I had a half hour before Ronnie would be here for our dinner. I made it dramatic, my eyeliner long and my lashes full. I wore a short black dress, leaving my tattooed legs exposed. It'd been a while since I took a good long at myself, and holy shit, I need to be banned from my tattoo shop, there's barely any skin left.

I slipped on my black heels and put my leather jacket over my dress, it was a must. Exiting my room, I heard a knock on my door, making me smile. I quickly walked over and opened it, seeing Ronnie in yet another black button up with some black jeans.

"Hey," he smiled widely, stepping inside. "I have something for you," he grabbed my hand and pulled me to the couch.

"Oh?" I raised my eyebrow, "what might that be."

He stood, grabbing something out of his pocket then sat down again. I watched his actions, anticipation making me excited. He held a small black box, a ring box. I felt myself go red, my heart pounding as I looked at him with a shocked expression.

"No," he laughed, "I'm not proposing to you."

He opened the box, revealing the most beautiful ring I'd ever seen. The ring was silver and had a black sapphire in the center. I would've cried if he wasn't here.

"Ronnie," I said quietly, watching as he took the ring out of the box, "wh..." I struggled to find words, "why?"

He placed the ring on my finger, myself admiring it. "It's a promise ring, and no, I'm not rushing you or assuming anything, this ring simply means that you won't lose me again. It's a promise that I'll always be in your life, no matter what type of relationship we have. Look," he held up his finger, "I got one too." I felt my heart ache, he never wore rings, he hated wearing rings.

"Ronnie," my heart was melting, "it's beautiful, I love it, thank you so much."

I kissed his cheek, hugging him.
