Yusei's eyes widened. "The essence was the King of the Yokai?!"

He felt weak in his knees. He grabbed the chair behind him and held on tightly. "You're telling me our long lost King has been inside Kizuna Chiyoko all this time?!"

Reverend Sei's face turned to disgust. "Don't put it like that. That's just gross."

"Then how should I put it?!"

Reverend Sei shrugged. "That she absorbed him?"

"Does Kizuna Chiyoko know?"

Ruri hopped in the conversation. "Know what?"

Yusei held Ruri by her shoulders and stared in her eyes. "Kizuna Chiyoko... has... absorbed.... your father."

"Oh, that. Didn't you know, Yusei-kun?"

"Didn't I know? Didn't I know?!" Yusei slid on the chair as he murmured: "If I had known, I would have done a lot of things differently."

Yusei bolted up. "I hit my future father-in-law with a letter! I hit him and now he's never going to let me marry his daughter."

Ruri looked at Yusei. "You want to marry Mari?!"

"No, not your sister, silly." Yusei leaned his elbows on his knees and scratched his hair roughly. "I want to marry you.

I love you, Ruri-chan. I love you."

Ruri stared at Yusei. "You love love me?"

"I love love you."

Ruri wrapped her arms around Yusei and hid her head in his neck. "I love love you too, my smol rabbit" she softly said. "I'm so happy you don't want to marry Mari."

Yusei wrapped his arms around Ruri and kissed her forehead. "Why would I even be interested in Mari when there's you? I love you."

As he gently caressed her hair, he noticed the cherry blossom poster being reflected in Ruri's eyes.

"Ruri-chan? Where did Kizuna Chiyoko go to?"

Reina held up a small cherry wooden box. She opened its cover revealing a white pebble. "Are you ready?"

Chiyoko's hand hovered over the pebble. She hesitated for a moment. "It won't hurt, right?"

Reina shook her head. "I can't promise you that, but it will be over soon."

"And my wrongs will be set right?"

"They will be erased together with this version of you if you make the right decision back then."

"Will you make sure he's alright? And tell Ru-chan I'll miss her? And that dreadful Yusei that I'll haunt him if he ever hurts Ru-chan?"

"I'll pass along your message, but I doubt they will remember you."

Chiyoko clenched her hand still hovering over the pebble. "Alright," she said as she clenched her jaw. "Let's do this."

She picked up the pebble and held it close to her chest.

Yusei burst into the Courtroom, followed by Ruri and reverend Sei.

Ruri screamed: "Don't do it, Chiyoko-chan!"

The pebble lit up. It's light spread around Chiyoko as she glanced over her shoulders at the door.

Ruri reached out her hand to Chiyoko as tears brimmed her eyes. "Nooooooo!"

Chiyoko vanished into the white light.
