When his alarm went off, Kenji threw off his blankets.

"It's a new day and a new me. I'm going to make guardian angel-sama proud."

He jumped up, held his hands in his waist and looked up to the ceiling as his super hero smile glistened in the morning sun.

He slumped down and fell back on the futon.

"But first five more minutes."

A snore soon escaped his mouth.

When his alarm went off for the tenth time, Kenji turned to his side.

He moaned as he peered through half open eyes at the alarm clock.

Red light lit up the numbers 06:30h.

Kenji suddenly was wide awake.

"I'm late for work!"

Kenji rushed out of the door. He rushed passed Yusei, Ruri and Chiyoko.

"Hey, come back!" Chiyoko yelled. "You're ruining my plan."

She stomped her feet on the pavement with so much force the stones cracked.

The cracks grew bigger and bigger as they neared Kenji.

"Oh no."

Yusei's smirk grew. "You're going to send him straight to hell with your sinkhole."

Ruri panicked. "We can't let that happen. You worked so hard for this."

She kneeled on the pavement and placed her hands around the crack.

Flowers started to grow, their roots holding onto the pavement tightly creating a safety net over the sinkhole and preventing it from spreading.

The cracks reached Kenji, but the flowers hadn't yet.

Yusei kneeled next to Ruri and placed his hands on the ground. He boosted her magic.

The cracking came to a stop right under Kenji's feet, but a last burst of Chiyoko's anger pushed up a cobble stone a bit farther on Kenji's path.

Kenji tripped over the stone. He fell head first on the street as a car had approached too close to stop on time.

Ruri cried out as tears fell down her cheeks. Yusei put her arms around her to shield her from the scene.

Chiyoko's world fell apart as time stood still and she fell to her knees.

Reverend Sei rushed over. She took Kenji's pulse and called an ambulance.

She performed CPR as the driver, Yusei, Ruri and Chiyoko watched in shock.

With blazing sirens and blue and red flashing lights the ambulance arrived.

The medics took over. They hoisted Kenji in the ambulance and rushed him to the hospital.
