The pairs of eyes across the table watched in quiet concern, watching the play of emotions flash across Karina’s face. Teeth gritted as the girl fought to bring her anger under control.

Their silence stretched into a minute before Karina finally let out a long, rough breath. Deflating in front of them, she reached up to pat Winter’s hand still on her shoulder, voice soft as she said, “Thank you, Honey”

“Honey??”

Eyes flashing open wide, Karina looked side to side. “Curse my stupid mouth,Karina you dumb” she thought to herself as she shyly looked at her three friends across the table.

Giselle blinking in confusion, Yeri holding a hand over her mouth to stifle giggles while Yeji glared poignards at Winter.

“We have codenames,” Winter began slowly. “We let the VIP chose,” she said as she tried to keep her voice professional, hoping the girl’s would believe it. “Ms Yu is Bee and i am  Honey.” Winter pursed her lips and blew her cheeks out.

A loud guffaw of a laugh ripped form Yeri’s mouth. Giselle quickly leaned forward, her face lighting up like a kid who was just offered candy.

“Oh, i want a codename! i can be Bunny!”

“I’ll be Squirtle,” Yeri said through her lilting giggles, struggling to bring herself under control.

“Then I’m Sexy Dynamite,” Yeji said with a flip of her hair. Yeri’s giggles came to a sudden stop, all eyes swinging to regard the taller woman as she sat back in her seat, crossing her legs as she struck a seductive

“Why don’t we have codenames,” came Mark’s voice,sounding offended through her earpiece causing Winter to chortle.

She glanced over to Taeyong, the man giving her an smirk. She could only shrug.

“Let me get you some tea,” Winter said as she gave Karina’s shoulder a final squeeze, lingering a moment before pulling it away, afraid that continued touch would cause her to give in and pull the girl into her arms.

“It’ll help you relax, okay?” Glancing over to her, Karina smiled and nodded, eyes filled with gratefulness.

“Bee is stayed leaving Honey,” she said, grimacing inside as she spoke for the other guys to hear, “will remain in near proximity. Maintain vigilance.”

Taking a deep breath, she made her way through the cafe to the counter, reaching into her back pocket and pulling out a slim, leather wallet.

The cashier looked at her askance before saying in a slow, stuttered voice, “What... can i... uhhh... get for you?”

“A large tea. Do you have a relaxation blend?”

“Chamomile and Lavender,” the girl said as she began punching the order up. “Is that okay?”

“Perfect,” Winter said as she pulled out her company credit card handing it over. She felt the hair on the back of her neck rise, a presence growing behind her.

Slowly she gazed over her shoulder to see Yeji drawing near, the other girls quietly talking amongst themselves back at the table.

Turning, she regarded the girl cooly before asking, “If you want to order something, we can pay for it. Company treat.”

Stepping up next to Winter, Yeji looked down at the woman, face dark as she placed hands on hips.

Her red lips pulled into a pout, eyes narrowing before she started speaking in a low tone, “You need to be careful with Karina.”
