FOR WHAT FELT like an hour, Cameron just kept on talking, even when I gave him clear signs I wanted the conversation to end.

I'm pretty sure that he's one of those people that even if you told them, "the conversation has ended", they would keep going. In fact, I know he is because I told him I had to call my Thia and then he went on a ramble about geography and how he went to Spain when he was six and that he could speak Spanish and German even though he wasn't from either of those. Then that led to him telling me his entire life story and where he was from even though I gave absolutely no shits.

Vengence was the only thing keeping me from getting up and punching him in the face.

It's always people that seem sweet that turn out to be either so annoying or fucking evil.

Halfway through what seems like a boast about how challenging his life was growing up as a lawyer's son, I decide I've had enough and interrupt him. "Actually, you know what would be really good?"

"What's that?" He looks up from the minuscule scar on his palm that somehow means he's going to be the next lawyer in his dad's business.

"An iced chocolate. That sounds really good right now." I just want him to get away from me.

A huge smile takes over his face and he immediately shoots up. "You got it. I'll make you the best iced chocolate you've ever tasted. On me." He finishes with a wink and I almost gag.

Instead, I try to muster a smile that doesn't look like I want to slap him and say, "I'm sure it will be."

The moment he turns around, my smile drops and I roll my eyes. Even Oliver doesn't talk that much. And even if he did, it wouldn't be nearly a quarter as annoying as Cameron's was.

I sigh and let my head roll back to rest against the fingers of the hand chair. Weirdest but coolest chair I've ever seen. Apart from the coffee cup chair. Everything in this store is literally amazing. I want all of it. Including Vengence.

For the last 15 minutes of Cameron's babbling, I was just mucking around with Vengence and letting him nibble on my fingers and watched as he tried to catch them whenever I pulled away.

He kind of reminds me of Toothless, my Thia and Thio's cat. He is quite literally the walking definition of feral. I think he and Vengence would get on if they were to ever meet.

My head falls back against the fingers of the chair, staring up at the newspaper ceiling and attempting to read them.

I think I'm far-sighted or something because I can never see anything that's far away, but every time I've gone for the eye test, they've said there's no problem. And glasses hurt my eyes anyway, when I steal my Thia's to see what it's like.
