It was hot, hotter than any day I can remember. The rough stones singed my palms as I climbed to reach the top. I peeked over to watch as they marched the rebels in a line to stand against a wall. There were maybe nine or ten of them, all with a black canvas bag over their heads. The guards were shouting something at them that I couldn't make out. They placed their hands on the rebels shoulders and soon enough the rebels got onto their knees with no hesitation and if I didn't know any better I'd say they lifted their chins into the air with pride. I bet they were smiling too.
The guns went off soon after and each rebel fell one by one onto the ground to be surrounded in a pile of mixed blood. I frowned as two guards walked in to drag the bodies away, each guard grabbing an ankle in either hand. They were thrown into a large heap just outside the fence that gated them in. Wild jackals growled and fed on the human meat not long after the doors were slammed shut. I watched as their fur became matter red.
I took a deep breath holding it in trying not to puke. Letting it out slowly, I did what I was meant to do from the beginning. I made sure to count the guards. Outside there were six, two standing at the gate entrance, four kicking dirt over the blood that was spilled. I estimated another dozen inside given the size of the building. I looked carefully at the facility, one entrance that I could see, possibly on the other side or around the back? No windows. Inside held the most dangerous weapon and I had to get in and find it, it could save my people and end a war before it began. Only problem was I didn't know what it even looked like.
"What are you doing?"
My heart leapt into my throat as I quickly turned around gasping. It was a girl, she had short curly light purple hair. Her eyes were a deep violet and she wore white scrubs as if she were a doctor or something. She couldn't be though, her face was so young, almost doll like.
"You scared me." I panted holding my chest to apply pressure and calm down my heart. I concentrated on slowing down my breathing., "How did you even get up here?"
"I know, your pulse rate has risen quite a bit, though it is going back down now." She noted, "And I flew."
I peered at her, she might be crazy, "What's your name?" I asked.
"They call me Micah."
"They?" This girl was weird and most definitely crazy.
"My creators."
"Creators? Like God?" I put my binoculars back into my knapsack.
"No, they do not have any form of omnipotence or omnipresence."
I rolled my eyes, "You're just a bag of fun, huh?" I chided zipping up my bag.
"I am not a bag of anything. I am M.I.C.A.H. Micro Internal Computerized Artificial Human. I have already told you this."
I smirked, "You're a robot." I threw my bag over my shoulder.
"No, I am-"
"Yeah , yeah, I get it, micro blah blah blah" I cut her off. I stood up dusting the backs of my legs.
"You are nowhere in the system." She looked at me confused.
I smirked, "Nope." I edged my way to the cliff.
"What is your name?" She asked.
"That's not necessary." I began to start my climb down.
"Unknown male, 26 years of age, 6 feet 5 inches, 231.2 pounds." She rambled off.
"Who are you, Rain Man?" I shook my head and continued climbing back down carefully finding placement for my hands and feet.
"No, I have already told you-"
