Fourteen

The twins led me down a long path. They held hands as they walked and smiled at each other admiringly. The path intertwined absentmindedly and I followed them willingly.

They led me to a run down barn closest to the border of the city. All the windows were boarded up but the door seemed new and out of place. The closer to the barn we were the faster my heart began to race. The hairs on the back of my neck were on end and my feet dragged as I forced them forward.

"Where are we?" I asked skeptical.

The twins laughed swinging their hands back and forth. I rolled my eyes ready to either barf or run the opposite direction. Finally reaching the entrance, they stopped and each placed a palm on the door. It began to glow and soon opened revealing a black vastness.

The twins stepped in and disappeared instantly. I stood there confused. Sidus popped her head out of the shadows looking at me. She tilted her head and reached an arm out of the air grabbing my shirt and yanking me in.

It was freezing. There was frost on the walls. The hallway was long and damp, I could feel the chill on my bones and I shivered out of reflex. At the end of the hallway was a large red door.

The room had random tables thrown to the side with mismatched chairs. Men and women were huddled at each one building... bombs... They were building bombs on two tables, and putting together guns on three.

"What kind of underground raggamuffin gang is this?" I shook my head.

"Raggamuffin. Cute, I like it." The voice echoed out.

I looked up to see a man walking down a set of stairs off to the side. He wore a black suit jacket and had short black hair. His eyes were dark and I could see the evil running off of him as he flashed his smile. His dress shirt was spotless and neatly tucked in his dress pants. Even his black leather loafers shined.

My jaw clenched with every step this guy took as he walked up to me looking me up and down. The twins melted in his presence. Sidus ran her hand down his arms purring as Lunae smiled leaning his head on this guys shoulder. The guy shooed them away and they pouted walking to a corner leaning against the wall sulking.

"Ray." He held his hand out and I stared at it. He smiled brightly at me winking, "It's rude not to shake hands when offered."

I reached out and he squeezed my hand hard. He yanked me close to him as I winced trying to smile. My arm felt like it was about to be pulled out of it's socket.

"Hi. Nice place, could use a woman's touch but overall, love it." I said through clenched teeth.

Two men were near me in seconds taking my duffle from me and patting me down. They grabbed my gun and my knife laying it on a spare table on the oppisite side of the room. Ray looked at me raising an eyebrow, "That's it? I'm hurt you didn't have more on you." He turned his back to me with his hands clasped behind his back, "Why are you in my home?"

"Manson twins brought me here after they tried to eat my face." I nodded at Sidus and Lunae who's ears perked up.

"He's Omega's brother!" Sidus yelled.

Suddenly the room came to a hault. Every tool clanged on the table and every eye was turned to me. I smiled and gave a short wave to the room.

"Omega." Ray raised an eye brow.

"How do you know my sister?" I looked Ray dead in the eyes challenging him.

"We go way back." He smirked, "Why did you bring him to me? Why not kill him when you had the chance? The cleaning guy just got the blood stains off the floor from that other stray you brought home."

"He's going to bring her back!" Lunae shouted. His sister elbowed him in the ribs, "Ow! She hit me!"

"That was mine to tell!" Sidus yelled at him.

"You told him who he was!" Lunae yelled back.

Ray rolled his eyes. Before I had the chance to blink, he pulled a gun out of his back pocket and shot Lunae in the head from across the room. There was a loud thud on the ground and Sidus fell to the ground screaming rocking back and forth holding her dead brother.

"Sorry about that." Ray causualy put his gun back tucking it in and pulling his jacket back over to cover it. He looked at me smiling, "Now where were we?"

I looked at Lunae with his eyes wide open. I wiped my palms on my jeans and cleared my throat. "Okay! Wow, would you look at that, I have done it again; over stayed my welcome." I slowly backed up to the door, "Great meeting you. Super."

"Shut up!" Ray yelled. He ran his hand down his face with the other resting on his hip. He walked over to a chair and sat down, "Sit!" He barked.

I walked over grabbing a chair and sat across from him.

"You're bringing her back?" He asked.

I nodded my head, "Yeah. Well, I have a plan."

Ray laughed, "A plan? Adorable." He took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

"How do you know my sister?" I asked him again.

Ray smiled at me, "You don't know who your sister is, do you?"

"What is with everyone talking about Omega in this riddle!" I stood up as my chair fell on the ground.

"Sit down! And don't get up again princess!" Ray shouted.

Straightening my chair I plopped down. Ray stared at me frowning. He shook his head in disbelief.

"You're her brother. Not what I expected." He sighed.

"What did you expect?" I grunted.

"Not a giant pompous ape." He shrugged.

"How do you know my sister?" I asked again.

"You keep asking that question."

"And you keep not answering me."

Ray leaned back in his chair licking his lips. "I'm bored of this game." He leaned forward putting his arms on his knees.

"How do you know my sister?" I asked again.

Ray smiled leaning back in his chair again crossing his arms across his chest, "She's my boss."
