When I reached the house it was dark. I walked up to the door about to open it when I saw it was already left open. My senses became heightened and slowly I pushed the door all the way open creeping inside as quietly as I could.
It smelled like burnt flesh. As soon as I walked in every fiber of my being was excited to see what demon lay ahead. I walked further into the cabin flipping on the light switch.
I saw Lazarus slumped over in a chair tied up tightly and in the other chair sat Raven, eyes big with fear. She was gagged and tied up as well a tall guy behind her holding a knife against her throat.
"I thought you were going to stand me up." I saw her sitting on the table. She had blood red hair curled and swept to one side of her shoulder, draping down her arm. Her eyes were deep blue like the morning sky. Her skin was pale as the moon and she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. She wore an emerald green dress and black stiletto heels.
"I'd never stand you up darling." I smiled.
She beamed chuckling at me. She held a knife in her hand and was playing with the tip of it pressing it against her arm and laughing as blood dripped out of her. "I heard you were a charmer."
"And I haven't heard about you at all." I stood up straight puffing out my chest ready for whatever battle I was about to face.
"That hurts my feelings." She pouted and made a whiny noise as if offended, "What's a girl to do?" She hopped off the table smiling, "I know, let's ask one!"
She turned around swiftly walking towards Raven patting her head and moving her hair back out of her face. I could hear Raven trying to scream. She kept fidgeting in her chair trying to get away from the woman.
"Don't be such a bore, babe." I yawned, "Tell me something interesting."
"Oh honey, this is nothing to do about us."she said pointing her finger from me to her, "It's always been about us." She wagged her finger between her and Raven, "You and your buddy over there just interrupted our fun."
"You're a Harper." I closed my eyes at my stupidity and sighed.
"Please call me Siouxsie." The corners of her lips turned up ever so slightly in a sickly way.
"I'd rather not if its all the same."
"That's rude." She frowned, "I don't take too kindly to people without manners."
The man I had long forgotten about came up behind me grabbing my arms and twisting them together holding them against my own back. I cried out in pain trying to free them but he kept twisting and I felt like they would snap if he went any harder. Siouxsie walked up to me running the tip of her knife down my cheek smiling.
"Now say you're sorry." She whispered.
I spat in her face which earned my arms further yanking backwards. My head jerked back in pain. Siouxsie smiled plainly and back handed my face.
"I don't like you. You're no fun." She pouted.
"Did I hurt your feelings?" I grunted.
"Yes, as a matter of fact you did. But lucky for you," she walked next to Raven, "I have another toy I can play with."
Raven screamed into her gag shifting her body to get free. I rolled my eyes, "That's no toy, that's just a dull game that's lost its jazz."
"Raven likes me, we're friends. Tell him Raven." Siouxsie stroked Ravens cheek with the back of her hand. She grabbed it roughly shaking it violently, "Tell him Raven!" I could hear Raven whimper as she nodded her head in obedience. "What a good girl." Siouxsie took her knife and jammed it deep into Raven's stomach.
I tried to break free of the grip on me but it was so tight and only got tighter. I squirrmed but the guy just laughed at my pituful attempts.
Raven choked and I saw her gag stain red with blood. Siouxsie took the knife out and jammed it into her again and again and again laughing each time.
"I'm bored." I bucked my head back hitting the guy on the forehead behind me. He lost his grip for a split second but that was all I needed. I spun quickly around and grabbed his head twisting it until I heard the snap of his neck. He dropped to the floor like a book I let go of.
I turned to face Siouxsie who was still foolishly smiling as she walked directly up to me. I grinned back at her walking closer to her as well. When we met in the middle I threw the hardest punch I could but she bent backwards kicking her feet up and wrapping them around my waist flinging me over with ease. I fell on my stomach knocking the wind out of me.
Standing up she was already in my face slashing at me with her knife. I dodged her struggling to back away. I shoved her from me and she laughed at me. I punched her across her jaw feeling my knuckles graze against her teeth. She fell to the floor and I kicked her hard in the stomach knocking her down.
She grabbed my ankle as I reeled back to kick her again and twisted it. I hollered out in pain and she chopped her hand into the back of my knee causing me to fall down. I aimed to fall on top of her as I grabbed her arm grabbing the knife and yanking it behind her. I released the knife from her grip throwing it across the room.
She flipped me over on my back straddling me as she punched me repeatedly. I wriggled my arms from her grip and blocked her next punch grabbing her arms and pinning them to her sides. I flipped her on her back as I sat up right again. She squeezed her legs tightly against my waist and I moaned in anguish. I elbowed her in the face knocking her back a little, just enough to get her grip to loosen.
Wriggling free I grabbed the knife off the floor. She charged after me and I plunged it deep into her chest. I held her close to me as I hurled it further inside. She smiled and kissed me as she leaned further into the knife. I felt her heart pump quickly until it began to slow down and then stop altogether. She slumped against my shoulder and I let her fall to the floor.
I hurried over to Lazarus feeling for a pulse. He was still alive, just unconscious. I untied him and eased him down on the floor. I went over to Raven and untied her letting her gag out. She slid down off her chair and I picked her up carrying her to the sofa. I pushed her hair out of her face smiling.
"Why are you sad?"
I turned around quickly. Micah stood against at the door with her hands to her sides. She walked inside and I stood up eager for another fight.
"What are you doing here?" I snarled.
"I was told to come." She answered.
I looked over at Siouxsies dead body laying there. She must have told the tech to come before I arrived.
"Better late then never I suppose." I shrugged.
Micah walked over to Raven. I stepped in between them and she shifted her hand. I flew against the wall trapped. I tried to free myself but it felt like there was a gravitational force pressing directly on my chest.
"That's mine!" I yelled.
Micah sat down on the couch looking at Raven, "She's not a rebel." She looked genuinely confused. "She's a rebel." She looked at Siouxsie.
"What?" I asked now confused.
"They were switched somehow. There's been a mistake." Micah stroked her hand against Ravens cheek and her body began to glow. I watched intently as Raven shot up coughing and gasping for air. She patted herself down looking for any open wounds. She was completely healed.
"How did you do that?" I demanded.
"Your brain is not able to comprehend the science behind it." Micah simply stated. She stood up and left.
"Where are you going?" I screamed at her.
"I was called for help. I helped." And then she was gone and the force against my chest released off of me.
I slid to the floor choking looking at Raven who sat there staring at me. "What just happened?" She asked.
"I-I have no clue." I said shaking my head.
