𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐒𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐒𝐅𝐈𝐄𝐃,, 𝐚𝐣𝐚𝐱 𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐬

𝟎𝟏𝟗. 𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐃𝐈𝐄𝐃 𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐒

EVELYN'S POV:

All of my body ached and stung, my lungs threatened to burst and my heart was pounding heavily. I felt dizzy and my vision blurred at first before I blinked and it fixed itself.

I looked to my side and saw ajax sitting on a stool near my bed, his leg bouncing up and down as he stared off into the distance. I scrunched up my nose then rolled my eyes at my childish behaviour.

"why am I not in the woods?" I croaked and ajax turned to me wide eyed, eyes shimmering with tears.

"I picked you up, you were bleeding out on the grass," he smiled gently and I remained blank faced.

"listen, I know you hate me but I had to pick you up and bring you here I was concerned and-"

"thank you," I muttered and he stopped talking and stared at me.

I then began feeling dizzy, "help" I croaked feeling so weak that i might've passed out if the nurses didn't come at that very moment.

The nurses crouched by my bed and gently stroked the hair away from my face. "stay with us evelyn, we need to you to stay awake. Just for a little bit." They said soothingly and I nodded breathing heavily.

"we're going to measure your heart-rate and then switch your bandages, then you can sleep all you want," they took out that metal thingy and put it down my shirt and placing it on my skin above my heart.

I flinched from how cold the metal was before settling back down into my pillows. After that I was told to sit up and I did with support from the nurses.

"please go into the next ward along ajax, just while we change her bandages," the nurse said sweetly ushering him out before my blood soaken bandages were removed from my body.

They rubbed the wounds with some antibiotic wipe that stung badly making me suck air through my teeth.

After they placed the clean bandages back on me and my fluffy dressing gown I lay down into the pillows pulling the duvet over me.

I started to feel my eyes drooping and I was barely hanging onto conciousness before I felt someone take my hand.

that's when i finally let go and slipped into darkness and nightmares.

AJAX'S POV:

I rushed back into the room quickly desperate to say goodbye for the minute before she slipped away again.

I rushed to the stool by her bed and sat on it grabbing her hand as her beautiful green eyes fully closed and she wasn't awake anymore.

I brushed the hair out of her eyes and sighed. I was truly terrified that she would die. She was loosing so much blood and was so extremely weak.

"please don't leave me forever evelyn," I whispered against her forehead holding her hand even tighter.

"you don't understand i'm her sister!" I heard my girlfriends voice from the door and the nurse shushed her yells. "i'm afraid she won't be able to talk back, she's unconscious and she can't talk for long before falling back under again." The nurse smiled.

I wonder how they keep their cool with all these people trying to see her.

"please! i don't care if she can't talk back!" Enid pleaded her voice cracking and tears forming in her eyes.

"only for a couple minutes then i'm afraid you have to leave," The door was opened and Enid stepped in clutching her cloak further around her. I immediately let go of evelyn's hand, scared she'd think it as some sort of sexual thing.

"hey baby," I smiled up at her and she smiled back wearily before sitting on the edge of my bed.

"I know you can't hear me but..." she paused and took a huge gulp. "please don't die on me, your the only thing I have," she bent her head down and cried into her duvet and I reached an arm out to rub her back soothingly.

"how are you here?" she looked up puffy eyed at me only really realising i was here.

"I found her unconscious by a tree, I brought her here and i begged to stay because i didn't want to leave her all alone," I sighed heavily looking down at evelyn's sleeping face.

Enid nodded and stood up, kissing me on the cheek before she got escorted back out into the hallway.

THORN'S POV:

I rushed down the hallway pushing past the crowd of wolves that gathered at the door. I was breathing heavily rushing to see my best friend.

I shoved people aside and finally got to the big wooden doors where a nurse was standing like a bodyguard smiling sweetly pushing people back.

"hey, sorry but can I see evelyn?" I asked quickly my eyebrows furrowing as I tried to peak through the door that was hold slightly ajar.

"i'm afraid not, she's recovering," she gave me a sympathetic look but it didn't really have meaning behind it.

"listen i know people have been trying to see her all day but i'm not a random wolf from her pack i'm her best friend and I need to see her!" I protested staring at the nurse with a look of concern on my face.

"please," I begged and she opened the door enough so I could get it. "go," she said blankly and I ducked under her arm and rushed to evelyn's side.

She was sleeping, ajax was holding her hand his leg bouncing up and down in anxiety and a sheer look of concern on his face.

In different circumstances this would be cute.

Evelyn's eyes fluttered open and I grinned widely wrapping my arms around her neck. "evelyn!" I whispered into her neck happily but still sad that she was in pain.

I let her go and sat on the side of her bed. "can you tell me what happened?" I asked softly and a nurse came over with a cup of tea that evelyn could barely lift to her lips.

"don't waste your breath evelyn you'll pass out again," the nurse helped her drink the tea and walked off to another room, her office i'm guessing.

"i got attacked," she sighed blowing on the tea and gingerly lifting it to her lips.
Me and ajax shared a look then looked back at her.

"by the monster, I transformed and tried to fight it off, away from nevermore but it scratched me up," she coughed then continued in a quieter tone, which I didn't think was on purpose.

"I howled before I passed out making the whole school howl scaring it off, i did quite a bit of damage to it though, doubt as much as this," she gestured to her body before placing the tea on the bedside table.

She lay back down and her eyelids closed again. I smiled weakly at her and kissed her forehead and getting up.

"i'm trusting her with you," I gave ajax a jokey death stare but I wasn't joking at all. If he hurt her again I would slap him silly.

EVELYNS POV:

I remember thorn coming into the room, asking what happened. It was all quite fuzzy but I do remember for the most part. That was before I went back unconcious.

I'm not ready to die.

i switched through a lot of POV'S but i didn't want to end on thorn so I ended on an evelyn POV
