Jae POV-
Meeting everyone was overwhelming if it were me from Japan I would have immediately found a way to leave. But being around Seth I felt like that other half of me that I so longed to find completed me. Like the sort of relief I was yearning for was finally there.
Truth be told, back in Japan I was always finding ways to escape reality and would end up running away from home for a couple days. Sure I appreciated my life but I aways felt like I was missing something, constantly trying to find the right amount of adrenaline and excitement.
When I was younger it felt like the same boring routine all day everyday - wake up, school, study nonstop, repeat - I loved Japan but the workaholic nature of the culture started to annoy me, especially when my dad started to having to work harder away from home caused my mom and dad to fight a lot more and the stress got to everyone. I guess that's when I started showing aggression and anger. Not long after when my mom was diagnosed that's when the genes were set off.
The thought of losing not just my dad, but now the certainty that one day that my Mom would no longer would be around caused the Zenin bloodline to trigger. Ever since then, I had been finding ways to relieve the constant need to break something and release all the pent up energy.
I became destructive and angry but instead of staying around my family and school I would end up running off.
Dad had always told us about the bloodsuckers and the thought of the way they survived, it made my stomach churn. People who were immortal, never get sick, never die, never experienced life. They weren't living - they were surviving.
Knowing that I was surrounded by people that knew the importance of living in the moment, as I watched the rowdiness of the boys and how much livelier they are compared to the people I was surrounded by in my old school.
I looked to my right and watched as Seth laughed and watched the guys mess around. I couldn't help but smile at him.
No One's POV-
Everyone was still preoccupied with their that no one noticed Jake finally pulled up with Bella. Jae never had much recollection of Bella growing up except for the fact that Jake was really infatuated with her as kids, Jae was never really around her to understand everyone's appeal to the girl.
She just knew growing up, Bella Swan was highly regarded for her beauty. Even till now when Jae finally turned around and witnessed the girl walking down with her cousin, the tension of the rest of the pack could be felt by anyone seeing as the vampire-chick finally made her grand entrance.
Seth shot up to greet the guy he has worshipped ever since. Jae stayed seating and watched as the 2 boys were busy chatting.
"well if it isn't the man of the hour, or should I say woman" Paul sat down next to her draping his arm around her shoulder. "I don't know why, but something about her really bothers me Paul like - something is off putting" Jae's eyes narrow at the girl.
She doesn't know why but something rubbed her the wrong way about Bella. It was like her instincts were telling her to steer clear.
They watched as the 3 finally made their way down to the bonfire and listened to the story of Taha Aki and the sacrifice made by his 3rd wife. It left people who are hearing the story for the first time in awe, people like Jae and Bella who sat a good distance from each other.
"Hey jake whos she?" Bella nodded over to Jae sitting wrapped under Seth's arm, she felt entranced by the new beauty walking around here when noticing Jae's face slightly being lit up by the fire in front of them.
