Chapter 4 - Danger

"Stay quiet Zaya, no quick movements. Do you remember what to say after you kill?" He keeps his hands on my shoulders, making sure I'm relaxed.

"Yes, I must say Oel ngati kameie, ma Tsmukan, ulte ngaru seiyi ireiyo." I look at him and he nods.

I draw back the arrow and focus on my aim and breathing. I draw up the arrow with the head, and I let go.

Me and Neteyam quickly run up to the dead hexapede. I rest my hand on its head and quietly say "Oel ngati kameie, ma Tsmukan, ulte ngaru seiyi ireiyo."

"Clean shot sky girl!" Neteyam pulls out the arrow and hands it to me.

"Let us show this to my father, he will be impressed." He picks up the hexapede and puts it over his shoulders.

"For your first kill, that was good." He looks at me with an impressed look. "It took me a lot of training to get a shot like that when I was younger."

"It payed off, you're a skilled warrior Neteyam." I see him smile and look away when I say that, I laugh at his reaction.

"I'm impressed Zaya, your first kill and it was straight through the skull." Jake examined the kill for a while.

"My Jake, what were you going to talk to me about." Neytiri looks at the dead hexapede, then Jake.

"Neteyam told me something this morning, about Zaya." He looks over at me and I look away.

"She had a dream last night, of Quaritch." I notice Neytiri tense up when he mentions Quaritch.

"He said that he was coming for her. But she believes that he isn't only coming for her, but us as well." Jake turns towards his children who are all playing together. Except for Neteyam, who is listening to the conversation.

"Neytiri, we have to leave this place. We need to go somewhere safe." Neytiri looks like she's about to cry.

"No! I will not leave my people. They need us!" Jake tries to hold Neytiris hand but she pulls her hand away.

"Quaritch is after us Neytiri! Not them. When they find out we are not here, all they will do is leave." Neytiri calms down a bit, but now she's crying.

I look over at to where the kids are but, they're gone. "Jake, where are the kids?" Jake quickly turns to where the kids were then speaks to Lo'ak on his communication device.

"Lo'ak where the fuck are you!" Jake seems hysterical. He waits for Lo'ak to reply and then a static sound is heard from his earpiece.

"It's been a long time, Jake." It was Quaritch. Quaritch had the kids.

"Neteyam, Zaya! Come with us." Neytiri says while calling her Ikran.

Jake and Neteyam call their Ikrans and they arrive a few minutes later. Neteyam gets on his Ikran and pulls me up.

"Quaritch where are you!" Jake shouts into the device.

Suddenly, we hear gunshots and we all immediately go in that direction. "Hear that Sully? Yeah, go in that direction." Quaritch laughs after he says that. As much as I want to kill him myself, Jake deserves to kill him.

"Both of you stay here." Jake says, Neytiri has already left to go find their kids. Me and Neteyam both nod.

Jake leaves then Neteyam turns to me, "Stay here Zaya, I am going to go and help them." He grabs his bow and arrow and starts to walk away.

When he's gone I grab my bow and arrow and follow where he went. I climb up a tree, which takes me a while, and look around for the kids.

Then I hear talking, I slowly move amongst the trees and go towards the talking. I find an opportunity to shoot someone who's holding a gun to Tuk's head.

I focus on my breathing, draw my bow and release. It went straight through the eye. After I did that everyone else started attacking.

As I was drawing my bow to get another shot, I failed to notice someone had seen me in the tree. Suddenly, bullets were flying towards me. I swung through the trees and then a bullet shot me right in the ankle.

I fell from the tree then quickly moved behind another one. I drew my bow and slowly peeked from behind the tree.

I aimed at the persons head and released. Got them. I hold in my whines from getting shot and limp over to go behind a fallen down tree.

I see Kiri and Tuk both together behind a bush, and Jake is with Lo'ak. But I can't see Neteyam and Neytiri,

I look up and see that Neytiri is about to get shot, but then an arrow goes straight through the soldiers heart. 

I sit behind the log to breathe for a while. Then notice that both Spider and Quaritch are gone. I get up and look through the forest.

I hear a stick snap and I pull out my knife. Then, I get grabbed from behind. "Help! Help me!" I scream.
I hear an arrow flying through the air, then I turn around and see a dead body behind me.

I look forward and see Neytiri with her bow in her hand. She walks towards me and calls her Ikran, in seconds it flys down to us. She gets on it then pulls me up.

"I will take you home and we will help you. Neteyam still has much to teach you." Neytiri then signals to the Ikran to take us back home.

"Jake, Neteyam and the others have already left to go back home. I told them I'd look for you." She doesn't make eye contact, none at all.

"I was looking for Spider, he's gone." Neytiri finally makes eye contact. She looks worried.

"I will tell Jake when we get back. Seems like when we leave this place, you will have to come." I look up at her and smile at what she said.

"Thank you Neytiri."
