Chapter 10 - Vision

I let Neteyam sleep for a while after I wake up.

I walk out the cot and see Lo'ak about to go out on his Ilu with Tsireya.

"Can I come with you?" I walk up to them and my Ilu swims towards me.

Tsireya looks over at Lo'ak and nods. "Yes, we're going hunting."

I connect with my Ilu and they start to swim off. I catch up with them and go next to Tsireya.

Suddenly a massive flash makes me fall off my Ilu.

When I open my eyes I'm in a massive white room and I can see Quaritch getting bandaged up by two humans.

He looks over in my direction but doesn't seem to notice me. He turns back to the person wrapping a bandage around his chest.

I slowly walk towards him and he still doesn't see me. I decide to test my luck and I poke his arm. He scratches the area I touched.

"What is this.." I say to myself. I look at my hands and quickly slap them together, no one looked.

I shut my eyes for a few seconds, this is all too real. I have to tell someone, but everyone seems so happy.

Spider knows he's alive, Spider saved him.

When I opened my eyes, I see Lo'ak, Tsireya, and Neteyam all sitting around me, "What hap..pened..?" I say while rubbing my head.

"My head h..urts Neteyam." I sit up but Lo'ak puts his hand on my shoulder and gently pushes me back down.

"You fell off your Ilu and hit your head, you've been unconscious for a few hours. You scared us bro." Lo'ak picks up a warm cloth and wipes my arm.

I reach up to feel my head again but Neteyam holds my wrist and puts it back to my side. "It's a big cut, let it heal."

I lay there for a while and think about what I just saw. Quaritch is alive. I thought the dream of Spider saving him was just a stupid thing my mind made up.

Lo'ak and Tsireya get up and smile at me as they leave. Leaving me and Neteyam together.

"Looks like it's me looking after you now huh?" I weakly laugh at what he said and hold my hand out.

He holds it and strokes the back of my hand with his thumb.

"Drink some water." He holds me up while I sit up and I take the water from him.

"Thank you Neteyam." I wrap my arms around his waist and lightly hug him. He puts his hand on the back of my neck and kisses my head.

"The cut on your head is mostly healed now." Ronal never speaks much to me. It must have something to do with me being part mountain Na'vi.

"Thank you Ronal." She nods at me then gets up and leaves the cot.

Tsireya walks in and sits next to me. "Your Ilu seems very upset, when you're all better go and see him and show him you're alright."

She smiles at me after saying that. I nod and smile back. I still have to name my Ilu, I'll have to think about a name for him.

"So hows stuff with you and Neteyam?" She smirks at me and I roll my eyes.

"I guess we took it too fast but, I don't regret it." She nods at me in agreement since her and Lo'ak haven't been slow with their relationship.

Tsireya talks to me for a couple of hours until she hears her father calling for her. She is one of the few Metkayina clan members who enjoy my company.

Ao'nung has only visited me here once. While I was asleep he left me an anklet which him and Tuk had made for me which I thought was shocking.

Rotxo visited me with Kiri but both left when Ronal arrived.

Tonowari has been busy with Jake. They've been checking on injured soldiers and are preparing funerals for those who we lost.

I sit up and look around for a while. I stand up and wobble a bit but eventually manage to stay still.

I walk out the cot to a bright light shining in my face. I look around and see Lo'ak and Spider making something out of lots of different materials.

I walk up to them and they both look up at me. "What are you making?" I sit next to Lo'ak, I don't trust Spider.

"We're making you a metkayina loincloth, since you didn't get given a new one." Lo'ak holds up the half made loincloth.

There was purple Skimwing scales attached to it and green fish skin leather. Attached to the Skimwing scales were shells Tuk had collected for me.

I look over at Neteyam who is looking after Tuk, he's wearing a similar designed loincloth. I give Lo'ak a look and he smirks at me.

In the corner of my eye I see Kiri laying in the water playing with the sand. I smile to myself then suddenly, I get knocked off the log which I'm sat on and see Tuk laying on me.

"Me and Neteyam made you a mini Ilu!" She holds up an Ilu figure which is made from loads of bendy sticks and pieces on string to keep them together.

She jumps off me and I sit up. I look up and see Lo'ak, Neteyam, and Spider staring down at me. Lo'ak and Neteyam are laughing, Spider isn't.

He knows I know something, his gloomy mood is ruining my mood. I look away from him then take the mini Ilu from Tuk.

"Thank you so much!" I look at Tuk first, then Neteyam.

Tuk stands up and holds out her hand to help me up. I grab her hand but push myself up anyway. Neteyam walks closer and Tuk jumps on him so he can carry her.

"It's really cute, I'll keep it in my cot." I walk towards Tuk and Neteyam and hug them both, I kiss Neteyam on the cheek while pulling away.
