Good afternoon!

I managed to organize my issues a little and I took the time to translate the chapter that was already ready (in this case, this one), I plan to take the time to write and post the next chapter on the 18th, as the conclusion of today's chapter. And because the 18th is special for me, or in theory it should be.

May you have a good reading!

Chapter 9 _ 'For my daughter'.

"Come, my friend!"

"I don't want to drink now"

'I'd rather stay with the kids', but that part wasn't said.

"A competition, Young Master! If you win… I promise to curse the Death God in my prayers for a week!"

Cale warmed to that.

"And I… I'm going to-"

"You stop being my secretary," Cale was quicker than Bud.

"What? How did I become his secretary?"

"That idiot accepted a drinking competition with the Young Master, but changed her mind on the spot and kept saying that she was too drunk and would rather be promoted to servant without the competition"

At that Glenn hit a slap on Bud. The idiot is the Mercenary King and he still does this shit! Glenn can't take this job anymore.

"My counterpart seems to be dumber than I am, don't you agree Glenn*?"

"I think you are on the same level"

Sigh.

Taylor stopped drinking for a moment as he looked at the people. And that's when he saw Cage* looking at him from across the room, alone. That got his attention.

If Cage* was alone and with a troubled look on his face… Ah, it looks like Young Master really changed a lot of fates.

"What is it, Taylor?"

"Cage"

Cage followed Taylor's eyes and saw himself. Alone. Sad.

And that was enough for her chest to tighten and her breath catch. Cage would never leave Taylor, and his counterpart must follow suit as well. So if she's alone, Taylor* must be dead.

"Let's proceed with the clips now"

But Cage still hasn't changed the direction of her eyes. She was trying to have a silent conversation with her counterpart, but all she could read was the pain and bitterness.

"Next video has a bookmark… this is different"

"What?" Cale asked.

If there's a marker, it must be something important, but they've even shown him stabbing himself. Is there anything that could be more worrisome and important than that?

Of course, that was necessary and Cale doesn't regret it, but it's still a little… it shouldn't have been shown.

"'To my daughter. Salvation does not come by one hand', it says here"

Cage* felt dizzy at that.

'For my daughter', if it refers to her, there is no room for doubt. The God of Death always refers to her as her daughter, always disturbs her sleep. But after Taylor* died… the God appeared in her dreams to comfort her, but never moved a finger to help or warn of the danger that surrounded them when Taylor* died.
