Noona?" Wu-jin called out, my eyes widening.

Jang Ha-ri?

Moments later we saw Ha-ri run up to us, two other students behind her. After looking closer, I noticed they were pushing something. Or should I say someone?

When I realized who the slightly shorter girl was, I couldn't even trust my own eyes, „Mi-jin?"

The girl squinted her eyes, scanning me. It took her a moment to recognize me, „Y/N, is that you?"

„Mi-jin!" I yelled.

„You're alive? Oh thank fucking god."

Mi-jin and I know each other through our fathers. They were best friends back in the day, so we used to hang out a lot. After my father moved to Busan for his job, our dads stopped hanging out but the two of us remained close.

Ha-ri scanned the area and to our luck, no zombies were in sight, „Let's do the Oh-My-God-You're-Alive thing later and get out of here in the first place." She reminded, snapping us back to reality.

„We were planning on running to the gym. The others are on their way there." I explained, „Follow us."

Soon, the seven of us reached the gym, to see the others in front of it, still catching their breath.

Nam-ra heard us running and after sometime, others seemed to notice too, „Y/N!" Su-hyeok yelled, running up to me, „Are you okay? Did anyone get bit? Wait, is this Ha-ri?" He asked question after question, the worry in his eyes making me smile a bit.

„I'll explain to you once we get inside. We have no time for this."

And with that, we ran inside. It was so dark, we couldn't see anything that was going on in the gym. To be honest, it even looked empty and safe.

When I heard Nam-ra's breathing quickening, I looked at her confused, „What's wrong, Nam-ra?"

„Run." She warned.

„What?" I asked, looking at Nam-ra closely, „Why run? Nam-ra?"

„Run, now." She repeated, her voice way more stressed than before. Her breath was shaking and her eyes were fixed on something. Something none of us saw.

Suddenly the thunder rumbled again, lightning filling up the room as we realized what Nam-ra was trying to warn us about.

Zombies, lots of them. So many that you couldn't even count.

„Shit." Mi-jin whispered, right before the zombies noticed us, their heads snapping to us.

„RUN!" Su-hyeok yelled, „Y/N, run. I'll be right behind you."

„But Su-hyeo-"

„GO!" He yelled again and I nodded.

Helplessly, we looked around, trying to find somewhere we could hide. Suddenly, I felt someone's hand pulling mine, „Y/N, I'm scared." Said Hyo-ryeong, her eyes slowly tearing up.

„It's gonna be okay, we just have to run now. Can you do that?"

The girl nodded when the two of us heard Wu-jin's older sister open a door, „Over here!"

„Come on." I said, my grip on Hyo-ryeong's hand tightening as I pulled the girl along.

We were one of the first ones inside, followed by On-jo, Joon-yeong, Nam-ra, Min-ho, Cheong-san, Dae-su and Su-hyeok.

Only Mi-jin, Wu-jin and Ha-ri were missing when I suddenly flinched by a painful scream coming from outside.

It was Mi-jin. She was hysterically crying, repeating the name of her friend over and over again, „Joon-seong! No, Joon-seong!" She screamed as the two siblings were pulling her inside. Mi-jin was tossing and turning, trying everything to escape their grip. Literally everything.
