The three of us were walking hand in hand through the woods, when we saw the metal fence we ran through after escaping the zombies in the construction site.

Everything was ashes. We saw our school, fire spreading all over it as our eyes landed on the construction site, „You can stay outside if you wan-"

„Not an option." I stopped my best friend mid sentence, tightening my grip on her hand.

We made it into the construction site, smoke and dust welcoming us in and I coughed out slightly after inhaling way too much smoke.

We walked through the entire first floor, making our way to the stairs. On-jo's hand let go of mine as she walked up the stairs in front of us, Nam-ra and I behind her, our hands still interlaced.

As I looked back, I remembered how Su-hyeok and I stood right here, just two days ago, watching how Gwi-nam and his friends were bullying others.

Just two days ago everything seemed to be fine, no one would've ever thought that the world would end up the way it did.

If someone would've told me two days ago that everyone, everyone but Su-hyeok, On-jo, Nam-ra, Min-ho, Dae-su, Wu-jin, Hyo-ryeong, Mi-jin, Ha-ri and I were dead, I would've thought they're crazy, but now I feel like I'm the crazy one.

I still couldn't believe that I survived for this long, somehow managing not to get bitten. As I got more and more lost in my own thoughts, I felt Nam-ra's hand pulling mine softly, signalizing to come with her. I nodded, looking at the destroyed building one last time before I turned back to Nam-ra.

It gave me some weird sort of comfort, knowing that her hand was warm. I knew she was bitten, and there was zombie blood somewhere in her but... her hands were warm. They weren't cold, not like I-sak's when she turned. They were warm, like Su-hyeok's.

When we reached the second floor we were faced even more ruins. Everything was full with dust, the just-build stonewalls completely crumbled.

On-jo looked around, walking towards the middle of the room as Nam-ra did the same.

She let go of my hand, as my eyes spotted something; The platform.

I looked out of the window, seeing that the platform we hid from the zombies, the platform we met Gwi-nam, the platform where Cheong-san was bitten- it was... it was gone.

I assumed that the platform was torn off the construction site by the explosion.

As I walked further through the ruins I heard On-jon yell, „Lee Cheong-san!" She paused for a moment, both mine and Nam-ra's heads snapping to the shorter girl, „Lee Cheong-san you jerk!"

I wanted to walk up to her, comfort her, tell her that everything will be okay, but I knew it wouldn't. I knew that no matter how much time passed, the pain On-jo has been through would always stay with her, buried deep inside her chest.

I saw Nam-ra step closer to the now crying girl, whispering „Let's go." oh-so quietly. On-jo looked at her, a tear escaping her eye, „I don't smell anything." Nam-ra explained, „There's no one here. Let's say bye to Cheong-san... and go."

On-jo tried her best not to break down right there and then, but both Nam-ra and I knew we had to support her so it wouldn't.

The sobs grew louder as Nam-ra embraced On-jo in a hug, a tear escaping her own eye. The two girls were both sobbing, while holding onto each other.

I watched them from afar, biting onto my cheek to prevent myself from crying. God, how much I needed a hug. But I knew I didn't deserve one. It was my fault On-jo felt like this. Cheong-sam sacrificed himself for me and now look at On-jo. She lost Cheong-san before she could have him, just because of... me.
