In the months that passed, Poka was taken from that foster home and placed in a new one. This one was definitely a perfect match, since her new foster parents practically loved her at first sight.  For once, her disability was actually taken seriously.

One day, her parents took her to the doctor for a yearly physical exam, when she heard a voice. A deep feeling of deja vu set in. She didn't exactly recognize the voice, but knew that she had heard it somewhere. So, she decided to get up and confront this voice.

Using her sight cane, she felt around until it seemed like she was right next to the source of the voice, with her reaching out to touch the person gently.

"Pardon me?" The voice asked.

"E-excuse me? Do..do i know you from somewhere?" Poka nervously asked.

"I don't think so, miss. I don't recognize you."
"Well..its just...i've heard your voice somewhere before."

The voice went quiet, probably pondering Poka's statement.

"Maybe we just went to the same school at one point or another. What's your name?"
"Poka...Yours?" She asked, hoping the name would at least help her figure out why she recognized the voice so much.

"My name's Lisa."

"Oh...sorry, miss."
"Don't be! It happens to the best of us!" The voice seemed to ruffle her hair before she heard footsteps approaching.

"Poka, there you are! Are you ok, honey?" Her new foster mother asked.
"I'm ok...just some deja vu."

As her new foster mother gently led her away, she couldn't help but ponder why she recognized that stranger's voice. Was she an old friend? An old foe? Whoever she was, she sure seemed nice.
