AUTHOR'S NOTE: THIS WAS MY ORIGINAL IDEA FOR THE ENDING OF THIS STORY, BEFORE I CHANGED IT TO THE FOX AND THE HEN ENDING. LET ME KNOW WHICH ONE YOU LIKE BETTER IN THE COMMENTS!
The two girls were sitting on the floor next to each other, with Poka holding the cd case and Precious flipping through it.
"ooh! What about this one?" Precious asked, tapping one of the cds, "It says '80s Greatest Hits'!"
"That sounds good! Let's listen to that!" Poka exclaimed, with Precious sliding the cd out of the case and standing up.
She placed the cd in the cd player, pressing play. After a moment, the cd jumped to life.
'Ooh, baby, do you know what that's worth? Ooh, Heaven is a place on Earth~!' The cd sang, with Poka jumping up and singing along a bit."You like this song?" Precious asked.
"I love it! Its one of my favorites!"
"Alright! I'm gonna go get a snack. Do you want anything?" Precious offered.
"Oh, no! I'm ok!"
With that, Precious left the room, closing and quietly locking the door behind her.'I'll miss her..' She thought as she walked down the corridor to the parent's bedroom.
If she was correct, the mother would be in there, most likely trying to sleep off a night of drinking. A quick peek inside confirmed this suspicion. That means the father is in the living room. Both are far enough away that Precious wouldn't need to work too hard to ensure Poka stays none the wiser.Perfect.
Precious stepped into the bedroom, closing the door behind her. This allowed her to be engulfed by the darkness as she crept closer to the snoring mass. She could just...dispose of her in this state. Honestly, it would be easier.
But Precious liked the thrill of the chase. She always beat them in the end, but the illusion of uncertainty was a nice touch.
"Mama?" She spoke softly, shaking the woman.
"Go away. There's no way you kids couldn't find a single-"Crunch.
It amazed Precious at how fragile a human shoulder was, along with how a person could scream in pain with such velocity.
The woman put up a bit of a valiant effort to get away, though she barely made it off the bed. Though it was a smart choice on her end to slide off the other side of the bed, as it gave her a very temporary advantage. If she could make it to the door, (which Precious didn't lock, by the way) she could probably make it outside and to medical help.
Though, that's only if Precious didn't chase her, which she absolutely did. Around the bed and about two steps away from it, grabbing her arm and twisting it.
Did you know that it takes 82 lbs of force to rip your arm out of your socket?Once the arm was gone, the battle was pretty much over. The woman merely laid there, probably reeling in the shock/adrenaline rush that most likely took her pain away a bit. This allowed Precious to dispose of her rather easily.
Now, it was time for the father.
As Precious stepped back out into the hallway, she could faintly hear the sounds of another song, along with the simple sound of Poka singing along.
'Every now and then I fall apart, And I need you now tonight! And I need you more than ever! And if you only hold me tight, We'll be holding on forever~!"How cute.
Precious took a second to wipe her feet off before making her way to the living room. Sure enough, there sat the father, beer in one hand, remote in the other. On the tv was some useless human junk, with closed captioning allowing the father to understand what was going on.
"papa?" She asked before she remembered what she did.
She giggled a bit, walking behind him. She took away one of his senses, what if she just...took away another? That'd be fun.
She reached up and tapped him on the shoulder, causing him to turn his head to face her. Her hand jerked forward, plunging one of her fingers into one of his eye sockets. As expected, he instinctively jerked his head back.
All that did was just pull the eye clean out. She laughed as he clamped his hands over his empty socket as he fell backwards, head slamming down onto the coffee table.
Precious then walked around the couch to the other side, looking down at the man. He seemed to be momentarily stunned, blood dripping from the back of his head and gushing out his eye socket. His head slowly turned to face her as she smirked down on him.In an odd change of pace, he jumped and tackled her to the ground, landing quite a few punches on her face.
She had to admit, that took balls.
Balls, however, that he suddenly lost once Precious jerked her hand up and lodged another finger into his remaining eye, ripping it clean out. As he shrieked in both pain and terror, Precious took a second to pop the eyeball into her mouth. She had been told by a few good friends that they tasted good.
The taste was pleasant enough...but the squishy sensation wasn't, prompting her to just spit it out.Meanwhile, the father kept going with his screaming. It was getting quite annoying at this point, so she decided to just try stunning him again. She stood up and shoved him backwards, hoping that he would hit the coffee table again. However, she overestimated the distance, with his head bashing down against the sharp edge.
This, of course, killed him instantly. Not a death she wanted to give him, but hey. At least her work was done here.
She was tempted to just call the police and pose as a frightened child, but knew that would most likely cause blame to fall solely on Poka. That seemed to be the effect this town had on that poor child. However, if she didn't interact with the scene any further, the police would find the child locked in a room. Of course, that would lead them to believe whoeever killed the parents intended to kill her as well, allowing Poka to walk free. So, Precious decided to do the latter and just leave, and that's what she did. Straight out the door, down the steps and down the sidewalk. After a few blocks, she flagged down a pickup truck full of hippies, leading them on with a story about a child wanting a new beginning.
She figured that was honest enough for them, for that was what she wanted. She had business elsewhere.
