Me and Bigwig had enjoyed each other's company. My leg had grown to be a lot better through time. Turns out, I was  supposed to be supervised by someone at all times. Of course Bigwig gladly took the job.

Could life just stay like this? We both have Nasty wounds on the inside and out that we have to heal.

It was around Frith-Down, I was participating in the lesson on teaching the hutch rabbits to survive. Blackavar was leading the class.

"In a hutch, it may doesn't have much use, but a keen sense of smell can keep you out of danger."

"Go on, tell me what you can smell right now." He said pointing to Haystack(?)

She got up, sniffing the air. "I smell chestnuts.. I smell rabbits." She paused. "Er.. Lots of strange rabbits." She finished.

I got up and sniffed the air. I could recognize that smell from miles away. It was Efrafans. "Why don't you all go inside." They looked at me confused. "Go on, quickly now."

Me and Blackavar looked at each other before looking forward, keeping and eye out. Birds flew up and away.

"Keres, we must tell Hazel." He said glancing at me. I nodded. "Alright lets go." I said and we both ran over to tell Hazel.

We were told to head inside. Great, just when things got peaceful, we have to deal with more Efrafans. We were all waiting, I just tried to help with keeping the does calm.

Finally, Hazel came into the Warren.

"Woundwort plans to lay seige to us." Hazel started. "We will take in shifts, guarding the three entrances. Those of you who do not wish to be engaged in the fighting, stay in here."

"And those of you who do wish to fight, get in line behind Bigwig!" Bigwig said with a chuckle.

Blackavar stepped in. "You can't be serious about standing up to them, Hazel. I know more than anyone what it's like to be in a warren sacked by Woundwort. Believe me, we need to leave." He finished.

"What happens when the Efrafans chase you down? What of those who can't move at speed? Tell me, where exactly do you plan to go?"

There was and anxious silence. rabbits glancing at each other. I sat there with my head high, I would defend this warren even if it meant I were to see the rabbit of Inle tonight.

"Those of you who wish to leave are welcome." Hazel continued. "But this is my home. It's our home. And, by Frith, I will defend it." Hazel finished. The others began to gain courage from this as they stood up taller.

Hazel then spoke once again. "Then so it is. Hawkbit, Dandelion, go and guard the entrance by the wood run." Hazel jumped down from the large stone. "Holly, Hyzenthlay and Blackavar, the big root. Bigwig, Blackberry, with me!" Hazel ordered.

The rest of us stayed there. I just continued to calm down the frightened does, most who were from Efrafa. It was a long silence, we were all waiting for something to happen.

I had already faced a fox attack last week, a few Efrafans wouldn't stop me.

There was distant shouting, and then it grew louder and louder. They were in the tunnels..

"The Efrafans are opening up the closed tunnels!" Clover said. "They will tear us to pieces.." A doe said. I went next to Clover. "If I'm to meet the rabbit of Inle today, then there's one or two from Efrafa who will follow." I finished, I turned and ran with Clover. "Don't worry, I'll always have your back." I assured.

The others soon followed us. When we reached one part of the tunnel, two Efrafans jumped down. I gave them a threatening glance before attacking them. Kicking down a buck, I looked over and helped the others.

An Efrafan opened up a hole in the roof. "Bluebell, be careful!" Clover said, Bluebell went up giving the buck a good kick in the face. We ran back after closing off the tunnel. "Nice job Bluebell!" I praised earning a smile from him.

When we got back, we did our best to try and hold them off. It felt impossible, Clover left to go tell Hazel. When they came back, we were ordered to move into the Honeycomb.

Once inside, I helped with blocking off the tunnels. "You all right?" Bigwig asked coming up to me. "Despite the fact Efrafans are trying to dig us out and murder us, perfect." I spoke. But now moved into a sad silence.

"My heart has joined the thousand." We all started.

"For my friend stopped running today." Hyzenthlay finished. We silently mourned Holly's death. It was interrupted by rumbling, and muffled shouts.

"The entrance is sealed, Hazel, but it won't keep them for long." Clover informed.

There was suddenly silence. "Shh, listen." Hazel shushed, listening for any sounds. There was nothing to be heard. "Everyone, be quiet!"

No soft pawsteps, no sounds of them trying to dig through the soil. "They've left the tunnels." Hazel said turning back to look at us all.

There was a sudden sound of soil crashing, it was followed by more rumbling and thumps. It cause many to start whimpering. "They're coming from above!" Clover let out a gasp. If they dropped down we would all be done for.

"If they drop straight down into the chamber, we won't be able to put up any defense, Hazel." Blackberry said.

"Everyone, go into the back burrow and seal it off!" He said. "Bigwig and I are going to hold them off until you do."

I went over to Bigwig. "Be safe, otherwise I'm going to have to kick some Efrafan butt." I said getting a soft smile from Bigwig. "Go, try and help with keeping everyone calm." he spoke softly, I nodded and went into the back burrow with everyone else.

Soon, Clover followed me back in the burrow as well. This was going to be one heck of a battle.
