After the first round of matches Y/n was ambushed by the business course. They tried to ask her a bunch of questions that would potentially end up in some obscure blog. The girl wasn't fond of this and narrowly avoided them.
She walked calmly to the arena, a mixture of hate and fondness clouding her thoughts. Armin had disrespected her wishes but he was still her comrade, dare she even say, friend.

"Come on Armin, get up."
"I can't Eren! I'm just not fit for fighting." During one of their hand to hand combat training, Eren had managed to kick Armin to the ground... twice. "Go along and join Mikasa, there is no point in you being here." The blonde sighed.
Out of nowhere, Bertholdt fell beside the two boys with a loud thud. He groaned in pain and Reiner went immediately to his aid. The taller boy had landed straingt on his back, whic could cause serious issues such as paralisis.
"Bertholdt, are you alright?" The two boys asked unison. The boy groaned and Eren looked to the person that had thrown him like he was made out of air. He expected it to be a bigger, taller guy. Instead, he was met with a very cold gaze.
Two pairs of eyes were fixed on the older guys, eyeing them like prey. The slightly taller girl he recognized, as Annie Leonhardt, she was sixteen. She had blonde hair, blue eyes and a permanent scowl. Eren had heard that she was set on joining the military police from other scouts, as she rarely talked. When she did engage in conversations it was with a few select people: Reiner, Bertholdt and the girl next to her.
Neither Eren or Armin knew much about the girl next to Annie. She was a mystery. She had h/c hair always tied back in a tight bun and a big, nasty-looking scar on her forehead. She always wore her uniform impeccably clean and wrinkle-free which made her stand out from the rest of the scouts. Her eyes were dull and eye bags were present under them at all times. She always had an out of place look, like she didn't belong in the recruits and she was in a permanent trance.
The boys had never heard her speak... in fact her roommates hadn't heard her speak either. She sometimes mumbled to herself, quietly chanting things under her breath. Many assumed that she came from somewhere within wall Maria -possibly the Shiganshina district- and thus she had gone mad, after seeing the horrors of the titan invasion. These assumptions were never confirmed by the girl who never spoke.
When the girl did speak only a few -she carefully handpicked- heard. She would whisper into the ears of Annie, Bertholdt and Reiner who would then deliver the message to the rest if needed. She spent her lunches quietly listening to other people's conversations and looking around the room. One time she had to ask a question but none of the mentioned listeners were there to aid her, so the girl picked someone else at random. Sasha was the lucky chosen one. The brunette listened carefully as a string of whispers was delivered into her ear. She delivered the first part of the question but when she couldn't figure out what the rest meant Ymir had to step in, "to get it out of the way" as she put it.
The girl, who was similar in height to Christa, coughed out to grab the attention of the four people. She had a different look, more determined and focused, like she finally knew her place and what to do.
"Get up." It was the first time any Armin and Eren had heard her voice. It was breathy and just above a whisper. Bertholdt immediately rose to his feet as if he was under a spell. Similarly, Reiner got up, shooting his hands into the air.
"Don't get mad at us..." After a pause he suddenly smirked, as if an idea had popped into his head. "Why don't you fight me? After all, I am very strong." He laughed while he lightly flexed his muscles. His laughter quickly died down as he saw her approach the four of them.
She got in front of the two boys and glared down. The other two backed away in fear of her. Both Reiner and Bertholdt hid behind Annie.
"Are you fucking deaf?" She spoke directly at Armin and Eren who were both still on the floor. "I said get up."
