"I'm sorry I wasn't of much help. Even though I am a pro hero, I just made things harder for you guys."

"Don't worry Native, none of us could've done it on our own. He was very strong."

"Still, I feel bad. You're all injured." The man sighed.

"It's fine." Y/n answered as they walked away. Both Todoroki and her were carrying an unconscious stain, while Native carried Deku. Tenya walked on his own.
As they were approaching the exit of the alleyway a chill formed in the back of their minds.

"What was that?" Todoroki asked when a sound behind them got loud.

It was barely distinguishable from all the other noises of the night, but if one payed full attention they would realize what it was.

It was crying...

Someone was crying.

Tenya spoke up first. "Native, you said there was no one else."

"That's what I thought! It was just the hero killer." The pro hero looked around. "He ambushed me and-"

Everything clicked in Y/n's mind and all of a sudden she shoved Todoroki and stain to one side.
"There was another." She whispered before a small whistle went off. Y/n had just about enough time to reach and cover Tenya's neck with her hand becase, just as she did, a knife flew from the shadows of the alley and impaled itself deep into her palm.
The group looked as from the darkness, a figure emerged.

"Let him go!!!" It was a boy, no older than the people from class 1A. He was around Todoroki's height but his body frame reminded them all of someone like Kaminari. His posture was just as bad as Bakugo's, his black hair covered his eyes and reached to his lips. A deep, purple scar adorned the left side of his chin. It looked like it was glowing.
The group looked in shock as the teen suddenly broke into tears.

"HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO HIM!?!" His voice sounded squeaky, like he hadn't quite reached puberty yet. "DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHO HE IS?" His words, rage-filled as he continued to yell."HE IS THE HERO KILLER!" As he saw Y/n getting into a fighting stance, he did the same. "CHILDREN SHOULD NEVER GET INVOLVED IN ADULT TOPICS!!!" What he said was true, but made no sense since he was a child too. He looked like a teen, but he had the determination of a deranged adult.
"YOUR'E GONNA PAY FOR THIS..." As he removed the hair covering his vision, his eyes began to glow white.

"Especially you..."

(Y/N'S POV)
I've always thought of how I would die, as death has always been around me. Growing up in Liberio as an Eldian meant that we were in a constant state of threat just for existing.

I would've loved to die of old age, as a senile grandmother surrounded by all the people that cared for me. After I got my titan, things changed. My life was never mine again, I gave up my humanity for what I was brainwashed into believing, was a noble cause.

Afterwards my perception of how I would die changed. I realized that I would never die in the arms of a fiend or a lover. I would most likely be shot down by anti-titan artillery, or perhaps i would end up being devoured by someone. Although I have always thought that, to die in the arms of the one I love would for sure be the best way to go, I know that that won't be possible.

And yes I have thought about death a lot, and in many occasions when I was at death's doorstep I've thought I deserved it and I've welcomed the possibility of dying with open arms. I've never been afraid of death. Not until now.

Now I don't want to die.

Not like this.

Not alone and afraid.
