JENNIE POV

"Jennie~, we're home." I heard an oh so familiar voice boom down the stairs. I quickly jumped off of Lisa who looked completely confused and terrified and I shook my head, confirming everything was going to be fine and i'll only be a few minutes.

I sat at the edge of the bed, grabbing my already worn socks and placing them on my feet. I pushed on my slippers and I bolted downstairs to meet my rarely present parents. "H-Hey guys." I stammered out. They didn't seem to notice my unusual behavior, probably since they aren't present enough to know. My mom swiftly turned her head at my feet and gave me a hug.

It's not surprising, she still had an intimidating aura that filled the room like water in a bathtub. Her face had a few wrinkles on it but if you had to guess her age, it wouldn't be too old. Maybe in her mid 30's. She had on a white coat with black tight leather pants and finishing it off with black plain heels. Plain but expensive.

"Hey, hun. How've you been?" She asked me as she let me out of her arms. I looked down at the ground, looking at my attire. I had on a tight shirt with the words 'AC/DC' written along the middle of it and a pair of short black shorts that barely went over my thighs. "I've been okay. Just staying home after school and stuff. Not really anything interesting." I lied. She just gave me a distant expression, as if she didn't know what to say and left to the kitchen where me and my dad were left alone in the room.

"How long are you guys staying home?" I asked my dad who was unpacking his things on the long plump white sofa couch. He hummed in response, trying to think of his response and placed the item he had in his hands down by the coffee table. "Probably for a few weeks. Why? Are you not excited to see us?" He asked in a joking yet serious tone. I just slapped his arm, laughing it off before shaking my head viciously. "Of course I am. I was just curious. How was it in Tokyo?"

"It was fine, a little busier than usual. Nothing your old man couldn't handle though." He joked as he flexed his non seen muscles through his black trench coat. I nodded my head as I sat next to him on the couch. We were enveloped in a comforting silence, nothing in the room making any noise besides the show on the television my dad was watching. We just sat there, watching as all the drama unfolded on the tv before he broke the silence. "Man is it good to be home. I always forget how luxurious the quiet is, you know?" He asked and I just nodded my head again, not really interesting to develop an actual conversation.

I was contemplating on whether or not I should tell them Lisa is going to be staying with us for a while. It's not like they hated her or anything, it was more as they semi disliked her for breaking my heart. My parents really didn't know the situation too well based of me being a moody teenager not wanting to talk about her issues. But, they knew she was the reason of my depression.

I was pacing back in forth in my head, scared of the reaction my dad was going to give but I decided to just rip the band aid off anyway. "Hey dad." I called out and he hummed, placing his arm around me still wanting the television but I knew he was still listening. He embraced me into his arms and placed his head onto mine. It was nice to just sit here with him, feeling the affection of an absent parent. But I quickly sat up, wanting his full undivided attention.

"I have to tell you something." I said as he finally placed his eyes onto mine waiting for me to go on. "Is this about a boy? Did he break you heart? I knew that Taehyung was too good to be true." He butted in. I once again shook my head and placed my finger on my mouth to assure him to just listen. He muted the tv and faced my direction listening to whatever nonsense I was about to say.

"Do you remember, Lisa?" I asked and his face fell. Not as a look of 'Yeah, what about her?' but more as a look of 'What the hell did she do to my daughter now?' I assured him everything was fine and started explaining the situation. "So, Lisa and I became friends again right?" I started off and he nodded his head hesitantly, wondering where this was going. "And we became really close again. But the thing is, she was dating someone for a really long time and they ended up cheating on her with Jisoo." My dad bolted up and stood on his feet. "Wait, Jisoo is back?"

I gave him a dull 'yes' and grabbed his arm for him to sit again. "But like I said, the person cheated on Lisa with Jisoo. So we're not really talking to her. The thing is though, Lisa had no where else to go. So I--Uhm." I stopped, hoping he finished the puzzle for me. He gave me a disapproving look and sighed. "Is she staying here?" My dad asked and I nodded once again. "Yeah. But it just started today! You guys just have unfortunately good timing." I joked but his face remained straight. "Where's her parents? Her brother?" He asked another question and I just explained the whole story line and he eventually gave in and said it was fine. I figured he'd tell my mom anyway, so there was no reason to fill her in.

I texted Lisa to come down and say hi, and thank them for allowing her to stay. With or without permission at first.

A few minutes later, a familiar tall brunette came flying down the stairs with more approving clothes then she had on once before. She stopped in front of me, giving me a small glance and then my dad. She bowed down and once she was upright again, she placed her hand in front of my dad which he greeted almost immediately.

"Hello sir, it's nice to see you made it back safely." She finally spoke and they both untangled hands. He gave her a small but confident smirk and the air around them started to tension. "Hello again, Lisa." He responded. "I see you're staying here until you find a place to permanently be. I don't mind it, but I don't want no shit coming from you. Do you understand? I'm not letting you break my baby's girl heart anymore. I'll personally have you killed. Do we have an understanding?" He asked sternly, letting the words sink in.

I looked at Lisa who didn't look amused nor scared at all and she bowed again, showing her respect. "That's fine sir. I've changed my ways, I promise. I'm not the same immature person I was before. I hope I can give you a chance to see that for yourself sir." She said as if she wrote it on paper, well written with no mistakes. Lisa looked at me and gave me a brief nod and then a smile. "And as for Jennie." She started, now looking him into his dark brown-ish black eyes. "I wouldn't even hurt a hair on her head, let alone her heart. So please sir, she's safe with me. " She finished and he gave an approving smile.

We both headed upstairs, not even bothering to look for my mom. She's most likely asleep due to her getting home so late. So, after we managed to stumble our way up the stairs, we got into our original spots on the bed and continued the movie. This time it was different. There was no sexual attention nor any romantic feelings. Lisa was turned the other way, allowing me to see her back and I was only watching the movie, not even bothering to look.

As the movie almost ended, I heard faint snoring coming from the opposite direction and I assumed Lisa was sleep. I shut off the tv which enveloped us in the complete darkness. I checked my phone and turned it back off. It was twelve thirty-four am and I was started to get tired. I bid a goodnight to Lisa who was too deep into sleep so I rolled over and placed my head in the opposite direction of her back.

As I was dozing off, Lisa was mumbling in her sleep. I tried to catch the words she was saying and the small faint whimpering sounds she let out. As if she was crying in her sleep. I turned around seeing tears roll down her cheeks. I leaned in to rub them away and she started to calm down. I listened closely for any other disturbances and once she was already into another deep sleep, I rolled over again and placed my head down on the pillow.

I closed my eyes, listening to nothing but silence and Lisa's faint snores. Well until she called out Rosè's name in her sleep, along with a groggy whimpering moan.

I groaned impatiently. After all i've done. This bitch is moaning Rosè's name in her sleep. I know it's a bit selfish because obviously she still had deep feelings for her. But I couldn't help to feel betrayed. I was here for her, i'm the one who rescued her, she was with me right now. But why was she still dreaming of another girl?

Jealousy erupted in me and I shook Lisa awake who bolted up putting her fist into the air trying to fight something invisible. I rolled my eyes and placed her hands onto my side. "Jennie?" She questioned and I ignored her trying not to get upset at the fact I wasn't the one she wanted right now.
"It's okay, Lisa. I just wanted to feel your body heat if that's okay." I answered and she was already fast asleep. I rolled over, facing her way. I gave a gentle but short kiss on her lips. It's been so long since i've felt them.

I had to fight all the intrusive thoughts to just wake her up and take her right here. So instead I said," No matter what, Lisa, i'm yours. I'll always be yours and one day I will be yours. Trust me, i'm not allowing anything to get in my way anymore. Not Taehyung, not Rosè, not even Jisoo.  I promise you will be mine. I'll make sure of it." I left it at that and gave her another gentle peck before placing my head between her arms. "I'm in love with you, Lisa." I say, drifiting off to sleep.
