JENNIE POV

It's been almost four weeks since my parents came back home to Korea and the break up between my arch nemesis and the girl i'm in love with. Everything has been surprisingly easy with them and Lisa staying under one roof. Lisa and I have been getting immensely closer. She would walk me to class, ask about my day, even pay for my lunch sometimes just because she and I quote 'wanted to see my gummy smile.'

Everything has been so great since she's came to live with us. We would spend all of our days together, especially since we're the only ones left in our friend group. Well our old friend group. Lately we've been hanging out with Jungkook and Taehyung. Weirdly though, it hadn't been awkward considering the fact Taehyung and I are exes and he knows my feelings for the brunette. Actually, it seems as if a new romance was starting with him. If I didn't know any better, I would say he was actually falling for Jungkook.

I have no idea of Jungkook's nor Taehyung's sexuality. But, the way those two smile ear to ear with each other, or the countless inside jokes they have, or maybe even the fact Taehyung always blushes when Jungkook says he's manly or cool. I have nothing against it of course, especially since I already moved on from him. All my focus is really on just Lisa.

Lisa has been mentally off and on. Rosè and Jisoo has no intention of hiding their relationship or whatever they are, which takes a toll on her sometimes. She tells me that's it's fine, but I know deep down inside she's not okay with it. Lisa has always been a sore loser, so for her to lose her girl to her bestfriend was a different kind of anger to her. But then, she would look at me with those adoring honey brown eyes and that perfect pearly white smile that makes my heart flip into a million backflips each time.

"You know..." Lisa trailed off, finishing the bite of the burger that was on her lunch tray. "There's this carnival coming around. It's like an hour away, would you want to go?" She asked me, pulling up the event date on her phone. "It's on Sunday and I don't know if you were planning anything but if you aren't, we should go."

"Of course i'll go with you, Lili." I responded casually but on the inside, I was screaming at the top of my lungs. Lisa just invited me to a carnival! One of the most romantic places on this earth. I was excited to go, maybe it would be my chance to persuade her into a maybe future relationship. That I was the only one she needed. I can show her how fun and interesting I am, how great we would be together. That was the plan.

As I parked my convertible, I ran straight upstairs to my room and picked out an outfit. I didn't know if Lisa invited me as a date, so I didn't want to dress too fancy but I still wanted to impress her. I rummaged through my closet, trying to find the most casual but at the same time seductive shirt I have. The carnival was only a few hours away and Lisa was at home, also getting ready for the carnival. I insisted she get ready here but she claimed she wanted to be a gentlemen and pick me up from my house. Which of course, I didn't mind.

"Yes!" I lowly exclaimed as I found my black leather jacket. I gathered all my clothes together and hopped in the shower.

Once I got out, I got a text from Lisa that said she'll be on her way in an hour and I squealed, letting the excitement get to me. I threw on my clothes and danced around my room, hoping the time would slightly go by faster. I put on light make up with my finishing touches and then headed downstairs. Once I made it down, as if on cue, a loud knock was heard on the door and I opened it with a small relieving smile.

"Hey, Lis." I greeted, which she did the same. We both stood there for a few seconds, admiring everything about each other. Noticing things about each other that weren't there before.

Like, how Lisa's lips were always almost slightly apart, showing how plump they were. Or, how her eyes were so round and dough-like, just like Jungkook's but sharper. The sibling resembles, it was definitely evident there.
