THIRD PERSON POV

Lisa got into her car making sure she had Jennie's phone with her. I mean it would be awkward if she didn't. She did regret peeking through the phone since then maybe old feelings wouldn't have resurfaced but she was also glad she did.

Of course it was wrong but maybe that can help them be how they were before. Right?

The skater felt so many emotions at once, it was making her dizzy. Between her thoughts and guilt, she couldn't tell if she was angry at herself, angry at the situation, or just scared. Maybe even all of them.

When she arrived at the brunette's house she looked around making sure her parents weren't home. But as always, they weren't.

Lisa got out off the car sweating through her palms. For some reason she was really nervous, like more nervous than ever.

Lisa looked up at the house which showed 2 lights through the curtains of Jennie's room and the kitchen. Which was actually a relief since now it was clear that Jennie was awake.

The younger stood on the lawn debating if she really wanted to do this. I mean of course she was going to give the phone to Jennie but did it have to be right now? Does she really need to see her that badly?

The door suddenly ripped open with a half drunken and half sober Jennie holding a bat with a knife in her front pocket.

"Oh. Lisa. It's just you." The brunette sighed in relief, stumbling because of the alcohol.

"Why did you come outside like that? You almost gave me a heart attack." The rebel commented, panting.

"I thought there was an intruder. My alarm said someone was on the lawn. What are you doing here anyway? Especially at this time of night?"

"Not like your drunk ass could fight the intruder with a bat and a knife anyway. I mean, come on, you could hurt yourself with the knife sticking in your pocket like that. Be more careful, dumbo! But, you dropped your phone at the party." She complained, handing her the device.

"Yes! I've been looking all over for this. Thank you, Lisa." Jennie smile, stumbling. "Also? I so could have defeated the intruder if I wanted to, I just wasn't ready." She sneered at the younger clearing her throat.

"Would you like to come in?"

Lisa stiffened, eyes wide open in shock. This was sudden. She only had to see Jennie for a second, that was the plan. However, she slowly nodded and walked in, hoping the other didn't notice Lisa trying to suppress her emotions. If she did, she might end up confessing.

"If i'm being honest Jennie, I also came to check on you. You were really drunk at that party." The skater stated, daring to not look at Jennie's eyes that were staring back into her.

"Since when did you care?" Jennie questioned, coldly walking towards her kitchen.

"I don't. You were throwing up everywhere and I was there, so i'm involved. So, it was technically my job to check on you. That's all." She lied.

"Whatever. That totally explains why you're still here standing in my house. But, anyway, do you want anything while i'm still in the kitchen?" The cheerleader asked, chugging more alcohol from a bottle.

"No, Jennie! you're already drunk! You need to stop!" Lisa started, walking towards her grabbing the bottle away from her lips.

"Says the person who gets drunk at parties all the time. Come on live a little. have a drink with me." She flashed a smile that Lisa always secretly loved. Her gummy smile. That was always her weakness with her.
