Part 9

It's been a week since lauren and Olivia's talk. Leah and Olivia have only grew closer, they have so much time for eachother  and everyone in their small group has noticed this, although Olivia and Leah are too scared to admit their feeling towards eachother.

First match day vs Latvia

"You excited for today" Leah says as the girls both stir awake "yeah hopefully I can make my debut" "I'm sure you will sarina and the rest of the team have all faith in you and your right we're your meant to be liv" Leah says as the other girl just smiles at her they both get up and get changed ready for breakfast. "Who's ready to make their England debut" Ella screams to Olivia as they exit their rooms "wow Ella it might not even be today but MEEEE" I shout back as I she jumps on me. "Let's go get some breakfast" Leah adds as we all walk down to breakfast.

Once breakfast is done we get onto the coach that is taking to princess park stadium where we will be vs Latvia. I get onto the coach and sit next to Leah with Ella and less behind us Georgia and Beth infront of us and Keira and Lucy beside us.
I'm nervous for today what if I do make my debut and end up messing up what if I'm not good enough for this team. Just as I'm getting in my own head I feel a hand on my arm and turn to face leah she whispers "calm down I can tell your nervous but you will do great, you've proven yourself over and over in training that your worthy enough to play don't let your thoughts ruin that" she says and I just smile at her and say thank you.

We arrive at princess park and head to the changing rooms to get changed into our warm up kit. As we head out to warm up I can see that a crowd has started to form and think to myself this is what I've always wanted. As the warm ups finish we head back to get changed into our game kit and the starting line up is announced as I expected I wouldn't be starting but I do hope to get some minutes on the pitch I just want to prove to sarina she made a good decision on choosing me for this team.

As the game kicked off we are dominating this first half with our first goal being from Beth in the 7th minute, we are now up 3-0 as the first half finishes. We all head back to the changing room and sarina is first to speak "well girls we are dominating them, I know we can get more goals in this second half easy just keep playing the way your playing and create more chances, I'm going to be making some substitutions at the start of the second half and would love for Olivia to make her debut" everyone claps. Leah speaks up "girls we are playing brilliant, their going to try and uo their defence this second half so we just need to attack more, we're coming out of this game with a beautiful win, and hopfeully our secret weapon can score a goal" she says and she winks at me "team on three, 1 , 2 , 3   TEAM" we all shout and get ready to head out. As the second half starts on the 50th minute I am finally going to make my England debut, less is brought off and I'm brought on she hugs me and whispers a few words of encouragement as she exits the pitch proudly to know she played well in that game scoring 2 of the 3 goals. I run on and all my teammates clap. I hear millie shout "you got this!" Whilst running past her making my way to my position. The first 5 minutes I'm just trying to get used to being on the pitch I then get the ball at my feet with a past from Keira and quickly turn to make my way to the goal I see that Beth and Georgia are now being marked so looks like I'm on my own for this one I run towards one of the defenders taking a 1vs1 with them I pull a trick and put it through their legs. My signature move and make my way towards the goal keeper. Now I know that from our last attempt at a goal from  Beth that was saved by the keeper she has a good right side so I take the ball and kick it on the top left corner sending it to the back of the net. Scoring my first England goal 8 minutes into my debut wow that's a feeling I'll never forget. The game finishes and we end on 7-0 a goal from me and two assists I'm proud of that.

I'm called for a post match interview with Alex Scott. "Wow Olivia what a debut how are you feeling" Alex says "honestly I can't even put it into words, I love this team and country so much and I can only thank sarina for having faith in me" I say "I mean it must be your only 21 years old and you've just accomplished one of the best debuts I've ever saw I can only say well done, and I know you'll be a credit to England, and with that your are named player of that match" she says "wow thank you so much and thank you for this" I hold up the player of the match trophy "well I won't keep you waiting I'm sure your team are excited to celebrate with you and I know this is only the beginning of many great things ahead of you again we'll done" "thank you, bye" I say as I leave and head back to the locker room where I'm greeted by everyone jumping on me. I soon get up and Leah comes over to me "well done Liv you smashed it" she says hugging me "thank you lee" I say back with a smile on my face.
