Today watch match day vs Bridgeton. I knew that today I would most likely be benched as sit is only my first game here at arsenal. Today is also my best friend Brooklyn's birthday and she is coming to london, from glasgow to celebrate and she is going to stay over at mine, this will be a good way to get my mind off leah and I'm of course so excited to see my best friend as it has been 3 months.
Kick offs at 12pm meaning I need to head meadow park soon. I get up showered and put my Arsenal tracksuit on. I need to eat something before I leave as barely ate anything yesterday, I have this problem where if anything bad happens in my life I cannot stomach any food, and all though cutting things off with Leah isn't the worst thing that could happen in my life it still hurt and made me feel nauseous. I decide to have some bland toast, hoping to fill a hole. Once I'm finished forcing myself to eat it. I leave for the game.
As I assumed I would be on the bench for this game. After we warm up I was looking in the crowd and to my surprise I spot my mum and dad in the crowd, I can see them waving, awhh I'm so happy they are here, I wave back at them and go to changed and head back out for kick off I take my seat on the bench and get zoned into the game. 15" goal by mead. Half time comes around and all the players have their 15 minute break, we have dominated this first half and excited for more possession in the second half, Brighton were getting frustrated at the end of the first half so I wonder what they'll be like in the second half.
Second half 15 minutes into the second half Brighton are starting to play vicious and Beth goes down from a tackle grabbing her ankle. "Olivia warm up your going on." Jonas says "What" I say from disbelief, I'm actually going to make my Arsenal debut. "Warm up" he repeats and I obey. Beth comes on limping. I hope she's okay. "Good luck Liv you'll smash it." She whispers in my ear as she hugs me. The substitution is announced and I run on the pitch to my position earning a clap from fans. Wow this is home now. I'm finding my feet in the first 5 minutes just trying to get comfortable. We have still got possession of the ball and in the 81 minute I find the ball at my feet and think this is it I need to score on my debut. I make my way to the penalty box with a Bridgeton player running towards me I take the ball and dribble round her shooting the ball with all my power into the back of the net. I've just scored. I've just score for my childhood club. Katie runs up and jumps on me congratulating me. Once I put her down I see Leah clapping and she smiles at me, I smile back.
The game finishes 3-0 to us. Perfect. As we are exciting the pitch I see my mum and dad I blow them a kiss and wave and I can see that they are so proud of me, this is the only thing I've wanted in life, to make my mum and dad proud, and today I can say I've achieved that.
