Chapter 7: Learning more about Vincent and Laurance

- Aidan's Prov
Katelyn just told us that Cadenza is going to be okay by tomorrow morning, I nodded while applying some Essence of Dittany on my elbow because I cut my elbow on a branch I fell over when that Shadow Soul attacked me in the forest, I winced as I dripped it on my elbow and a faint green smoke emitted from it but the skin began to heal itself and look like a week old, I looked to Aphmau and she was shocked at my elbow "It's nothing, I can heal it but not sure when it'll be fully healed" I told her, she then set her hand on my arm and suddenly this white light appeared on her hand and suddenly the stinging and burning in my arm just vanished??? I looked at my arm AND IT'S FULLY HEALED INSTANTLY?! I looked at Aphmau astonished "How did you do that??" I asked confused "I... I have Healing Magicks of some kind" she said "So you healed me??" I asked confused and she nodded "Thanks" I thanked her then rolled down my sleeve that had a tear in it, I tapped it with my wand "Reparo" I said and the sleeve of both the jacket and shirt began to basically have time on it rewind and fix itself entirely, I put my wand back in the jacket pouch "Now, Vincent, Laurance... I need answers now. What exactly were those accursed fiends that attacked the village??" Cadenza's head guard Zack asked "And how does this child here have Magicks??" Zack asked "It's not "Magicks" it's just called "Magic" and I was born with it inside me, I learned how to tap into it and control it when I was 11" I told him "First off, I want to know how the heck you know about Shadow Souls Vincent... the only people who know that name are well studied scholars and..." Laurance said but stopped before he could finish "Shadow Knights, yes, I am one of them and I can tell you are as well" he told Laurance, wait... WHAT?! Laurance is a Shadow Knight?! "I knew there was something off about you, I didn't want to say anything in front of Cadenza" Laurance accused "I'm sure Vincent has a reason and there's a logical explanation for this" I said trying to keep this conversation peaceful "Calm down. He's managed to gain full control of himself and hasn't caused any issues since I've known him" Zack defended "Then explain how he knew about The Cruciatus Curse and how to use it right?? I've NEVER heard of Vincent before and yet he knows what The Cruciatus Curse is and how to use it correctly" I said because I don't understand HOW can he possibly know about that curse "Before I became a Shadow Knight... I was a student at Durmstrang Institute for Magical Learning" Vincent told us "Then why don't you have a wand??" I asked confused "When I became a Shadow Knight, I practiced The Unforgivable Curses and I got myself kicked out of Durmstrang, they said I should never be allowed to use magic again because of me being a Shadow Knight which makes me unstable, so I was expelled and they snapped my wand" Vincent explained "I haven't used magic since" he finished, so Vincent went to Durmstrang???? I heard a lot about that school, it's main known reputation is teaching dark magic "That school is basically the birthplace of dark wizards and witches" I told him "He's been teaching children here who are accepted into Hogwarts to never use The Unforgivable Curses because they're illegal to use, I trust Vincent with my life" Zack defended "Explain the red eyes" Laurance told Vincent "Yeah I'm very confused on that too" I told him but Zack fell silent at that, "I killed my previous Lord to obtain these long before you and Aidan were even born" Vincent told us, wait what?? "Vincent... you don't have to talk about it" Zack told him "He actually has explaining to do" I told Zack crossing my arms "The only way a Shadow Knight can have those red eyes is if he killed the one he cared for most. In Guard's cases, it would be the Lord we protect" Laurance explained "That sounds... horrible" I whispered "It is" Laurance told me "I have my immortality, I'm not ashamed to say that. The Lord I killed to get it deserved it. He was a horrible person to his people and killed innocent women and children. Especially children born with magic, he would burn children with magic alive so you both best know your places before you start talking you premature Shadow Knight and premature Half-Blood" Vincent told us, that's when Laurance and I both lost it, Laurance immediately drew his sword and struck at Vincent which he blocked, I then drew my wand and flicked it at Vincent and hit him in the face with a Stinging Jinx which had him on the floor "Laurance! Aidan!" Aphmau yelled "Don't test us... I'll rip you to shreds... I know exactly the kind of scum you are" Laurance told me "And I will curse you before you can even blink, trust me, I know very advanced ones, so if anyone's premature it's you" I told Vincent "I also know you made a move on my Lady" Laurance said with his sword to Vincent's swollen face "If she's your woman then where's her wedding ring? I don't see one. She's free game, and as for you boy, you're lucky I won't turn you in to The Ministry of Magic for one, crossing Regions illegally and for performing an improper Cruciatus Curse. YOU PREMATURE SHADOW KNIGHT AND HALF-BLOOD!" Vincent yelled, "STOP CALLING US THA-" Laurance was about to yell as I raised my wand "CRUCI-" I was about to cry in pure rage at Vincent for one, being discriminating on my blood status and two, for threatening to turn me in to The Ministry for running away with very good reason "ENOUGH!" Zack yelled grabbing my arm stopping me from finishing the incantation "LAURANCE! AIDAN! OUTSIDE!" Zack yelled "WHAT?!" Laurance yelled shocked "How about Vincent goes outside?! He's the one who asked for it and is just asking for more!" I yelled "VINCENT DO YOU WANNA KNOW WHY I CROSSED REGIONS ILLEGALLY?!" I yelled at him "MY PARENTS WERE MURDERED WHEN I WAS 8 YEARS OLD AND MY OWN UNCLE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR MURDER AND HE ABUSED ME DAILY BY USING THE CRUCIATUS CURSE ON ME EVERY TIME I DIDN'T DO AS HE SAID EXACTLY!" I screamed at him and he fell silent at that, "MY OWN UNCLE, MY FATHER'S BROTHER TORTURED ME FOR SIX YEARS!!!" I yelled at him "SO DON'T YOU DARE SAY ANYTHING ABOUT ME BEING HERE TO THE MINISTRY!" I roared at him furiously and everyone fell silent at the fact one, my "Uncle", killed his own brother and sister-in-law and kidnapped me and abused me for 6 years, Aphmau told Laurance to calm down and go outside to try calming down while Aphmau was going to talk to me about what happened the past 6 years of my living Hell, "I'll accompany you to explain everything about Vincent. Lady Katelyn, I'd like for you to join us as well" Zack told them, he then turned to me after letting go of my wand "And you are going to explain what you mean when you said your uncle tortured you for 6 years" he told me "I refuse to talk to a disrespectful jerk like Vincent" I told him not complying to these stupid terms "He has no right being here at all" I told him "Very well, he will just listen, you can tell Lady Aphmau" he told me and left, I just stayed silent "You've got one hotheaded Shadow Knight and underage wizard here" Vincent told Aphmau "Shut up" I told him threateningly "You have no right to talk after what you said and made me yell" I told him coldly "I hope you burn in the pits of The Nether" I growled, Vincent told Aphmau everything about what he went through and I just listened but didn't pity him in the slightest "You think you suffered?!" I yelled at Vincent "Boo hoo, try getting your parents murdered as a child and not be able to do anything about it and have an uncle that use The Cruciatus Curse on you daily when you did something wrong!!" I yelled at him and rolled my eyes and I heard Aphmau sigh "Aidan... can you tell me what happened?" Aphmau asked and I stayed silent "I'm sorry for what I said to you, it was uncalled for and I shouldn't have said that" Vincent apologized "For what that's worth... I want to know what that man did to you" he told me, I sighed "It's....." I started "It's worth a lot..." I replied "I accept your apology" I told him "But you better apologize to Laurance for calling him that" I told him then turned to the both of them "Let me start... at the beginning" I told them, I never thought I'd be able to tell anyone what happened to me for the last 6 years.
