It's been a few days, and I've had the pleasure of putting an end to my hunger. As I sit on the couch in Mark's stifling apartment, I see the humans around me growing progressively more inebriated. Mark would always bring over a new girl so that I could have someone to feed on every couple of hours. I can't seem to shake the image of Raven in my head. She was the first person to ever make me feel love, and it was incredible. Now, all that is left is the person I pretend to be, who, despite the fact that I am not, appears to have everything together. I am struggling to hang on and am unable to take a breath.

As the sky becomes darker, the volume of the music gradually increases. Veronica walks up to me and immediately puts her arms around me. When her lips brush against mine, the only person I can think of is Raven. My mind keeps returning to the sight of her. I can make out her voice as clearly as if she were standing just beyond the doorway.

Wait, that is her voice.

The door to the apartment suddenly bursts open, and there standing inside are Raven, Brie, and Logan. As I rise, I take a long, deep breath. Raven's eyes are ablaze with fire.

"Here I am, yet again, cleaning up your goddamn mess. Grow up, Clay!" She yells towards me.

As she continues to say those things, I can feel my blood starting to get hot. As Logan draws closer, Mark is knocked to the ground by Him. Everyone is watching us as I stare at Raven.

"You left me, remember?" I bark.

"God, Clay. I'm so sick and tired of your same mistakes, get your shit together."

I start to laugh, her anger always seems to amaze me. Why is she angry though?

"Why are you so mad, my love? You don't care, remember?" I step closer to her.

"I'm mad at you because I do love you," She sternly tells me. "This isn't the Clay I fell in love with."

"Oh Raven. You will eventually have to cease acting as though everything is fine in this world." My eyes blaze, and my fangs show. Veronica tries to fight me off as I grab her and graze against her neck.

Emotions are high and everyone screams as Raven whispers,

"Ventus,"

My body slams against the wall, and I try to stand up, but she is controlling what I do. Once more, I'm pressed up against it, and an excruciating agony shoots through my skull. Raven approaches and her words kill me.

She releases her grip on me and says, "I love you Clay, but I've realized I can't stop you from being this person. You don't think you deserve happiness, so you wreck it. You'll always succumb to your predatory tendencies. Therefore, if this is what you desire, so be it."

Logan stares at me in dismay as he follows her to the door, and Brie has tears in her eyes. One final time, Raven looks at me with grief in her eyes,

"You had it all Clay, and now you're left with nothing. If you truly think you can fix what you have done, you know where to find me," She turns on her heel and walks away.

All she wanted was a good trip, and I had to ruin it by being an idiot and hurting her once more. I slam my head against the wall.

I grab my jacket and head home. I head to my room and lay in bed. My phone goes off and it's a text from Logan.

You screwed up big time. You're losing the one thing that's good for you. Smarten up bro and fight to get your girl back or she will be gone forever. - The text reads.

Who is he to tell me what needs to be done? I fling my phone across the room. He didn't fall in love with the thing that was the most unyielding and feared in this world.

After taking a few days to cool off, I return to Cladwell. I can feel Raven as I travel down the road. I park my car in the college lot and exit. I see her as I approach the courtyard; she is reading a book while sitting under a tree. I contemplate approaching her. I observe her as she immerses herself in the book.

Nothing compares to seeing the anguish on her face when I mess up, as I stand there thinking of all the mistakes I have ever made.

Will she ever forgive me?
