When we got back to the hotel, I noticed that my girlfriend was already waiting for us on the ground floor of the entrance. As I walk toward her with the intention of wishing Brie and Logan a good night, my focus is pulled away by Raven.

"Hey, why didn't you wait in the room?"

"You have the key card," She looks up at me.

I kneel in front of her,

"What did they say to you that made you run away like that?" I lift her face to mine.

"What happened?" Worry fills my voice.

"They want me to bring someone back and I won't do it, no, I refuse to do it". She starts to tremble.

She explains to me everything they had instructed her to do and says that even if she had agreed, it would still be risky to get to what they require. I knock on Brie and Logan's door and begin to fill them in on everything. Logan asks Raven as he studies her.

"Who exactly do they want you to bring back?"

She looks at him, fear in her eyes and calmly says,

"Abel,"

"What the fuck, hell no, the guys dead and should stay dead, even beyond the grave he has already caused us so much pain!" Logan paces back and forth.

"You said no, right?" Brie questions Raven, she nods.

"Good, we're heading back to Cladwell first thing in the morning before this gets out of hand,"

We all nod and Raven and I head back to our room. As I close the door behind me I can't help but state,

"I knew it was a mistake for you to come here,"

She turns to face me,

"You don't need to be so darn protective, God Clay, I need to make mistakes to know who I am, and this wasn't a mistake, it would have occurred anywhere," She takes a moment to collect herself before approaching me and holding my hands in hers.

"I'm sorry, but just last year I discovered that everything I thought I understood about the world was false, and that everyone around me, including Brie, had shielded me from it. I take risks, so why don't we stop them before they find another way?"

I stare down into her dark brown eyes and lean down to kiss her.

"Let's do it," I say, hugging her tightly.

The following morning, I wake up to find Raven sleeping down on my chest. I adore everything about her, and she manages to seem both tranquil and stunning at the same time. I am aware that at some point I will need to explain the nightmares to her because they are also keeping her awake at night. I have come to the conclusion that I should also inform Logan, and I have chosen today as the day on which I should do so.

"What are you thinking about?" Raven says sleepily.

"Just how much I have changed in the last year, I guess," Which is true; I went out with a different woman each night. Having said that, after I met Raven, I realized that all I needed to do was find her, and from that point on, the rest of my life would fall into place perfectly. As her face rests on her arms over my stomach and she traces the tattoos on my chest with her fingertips, she glances at me. She does this as her arms are draped over my stomach.

"I make you better, don't forget that," She looks at me, eyelashes batting over her beautiful eyes, she leans up and kisses me. I cup her face and inhale the sweetness from her lips. I look up at her and say,

"I know, you're the reason I'm a better person and I don't ever want to go back to that," I sigh, "I did bad things, horrible things, it's not something I want to go back to."

She runs her fingers through my hair,

"I know but that's the past, all we can do now is go forward," She straddles me and I can feel myself get harder and harder for her as she sits on top of me, "What you did was horrible and we don't need to relive it," She gets closer to me and whispers, "Let's talk about all the bad things I want to do to you."

I've morphed this girl, who was once completely innocent, into a sex demon, I laugh knowing where this is going. She is mine no matter what, so I mentally chuckle at the concept. I wouldn't change that for anything.

"Baby, you're insane", I let out a small laugh.

"Yeah, I know but you're the same", She says with a subtle smile that completely turns me on and she knows it. She gets up and walks away from me, I lay there watching her pack the suitcase, not much to do since we are both organised people. She lays out my clothes and hers as well. I look over at the time, we have 2 hours before the next flight out to Virginia departs.

"So I think that is everything, am I forgetting anything else?" She questions herself.

I get up and walk towards her,

"Yeah, this", I turn her around and kiss her deeply.

"Clay," She says softly, "We have to get ready."

"I know." I put my head down and walk past to allow her to get dressed. She slips out of my t-shirt and stands there folding it.

This girl is going to be the death of me.

She goes to brush her teeth and then returns, and I go to the restroom to do the same. By the time I return to the room, I'm hoping she'll have put on some clothing because if she hasn't, I could lose control. She is still standing by the window in her underwear and bra when I walk out. She unwinds as I approach, leaning her head back on my chest.

"What are you thinking about, baby?"

"Everything we have been through, what if I was wrong?"

I turn her around and grab her hand, leading her back to the bed, where I sit her on my lap and clasp her waist.

"Wrong about what?" I ask, curiosity taking over.

"The Lycans, what if they weren't pulling the strings like they made us believe, after everything we just learned what if someone else is the puppeteer?"

She is correct in what she is stating. We must leave New York as soon as possible, as much as I would like to take her right now in this bed. But s he is keeping something from me, though.

"What else?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean there's something else you aren't telling me", I cup her face "What is it?"

She sighs and looks at me with wonder in her eyes as she sits there and muses. She's perplexed by something.

"Baby, what is it? What's got you so worked up?" I tighten my grip around her waist and pull her closer. She lays her head on my shoulder,

"I overheard Brooks talking to a woman, her voice felt so familiar, I just can't point where I've heard it".

I kiss her head, "Stop thinking about it, eventually it will come to you".

She nods and kisses me, I wrap my hand in her hair and kiss her harder.

"Clay we can't", She says softly.

"I know," I tell her looking at the time.

She gets up to start getting dressed, I pull her back,

"Fuck it, once more in New York," I plead with her.

She straddles me, making me hard for her as she kisses my neck and gently bites on my collarbone. "We have to be quick this time," I tell her in between breaths, she nods and I quickly flip her over and let our bodies do the thinking.
