She just sits there calmly, and I can't do anything about it. I have to find out what she is considering and let her know that there is no one else I could ever love besides her.
"I love you, Clay, you are the only one I have ever loved but when they say those things it makes me want to run away".
"Okay, so why don't you?" Curiosity covers my face, I want to know why she has stayed if she has been feeling this way for so long.
"Because I need you too damn much," She states.
I bring her onto my lap and cuddle with her. She can't seem to ignore what people say, but I have learnt to do so. So I make an effort to lighten the mood.
"What happened to the Raven that didn't give a shit about what others thought?"
"Oh she's still here, she just goes flying out the window when it comes to you!"
This girl holds my heart more and more each day, but she has no idea what she's done to deserve it. I've got her name tattooed on my torso. I gently caress her face as I gaze at my gorgeous girl.
"I've said this before and I'll say it one last time. They're jealous, they don't know how much I love you and only you, plus they don't know what happens when the lights go out," I smile and she kisses me hard and I hold on tighter.
As Raven gets ready, she wears a crop top and black leggings. Her hair is left down, and she sports a relaxed appearance. With no shirt on, I put on my sweats and follow her downstairs. We all sit down and eat when Brie and Logan return with dinner. Everything Raven said today comes to mind. I need to find a way to express to her what I'm saying and how I'm feeling. Music! She likes music, so after going through all of those 1D tracks to discover why she liked them, I suddenly realised that there is one song that expresses everything she needs to know. I'm startled out of my reverie.
"Clay, earth to Clay?" Logan says.
"Sorry, what?"
"Vodka or bourbon?" He asks.
"Oh, um bourbon," I say.
Raven responds, "Okay, I'll grab it," and then walks away. I then tell Brie to play their music and explain my song-related strategy. As she continues to talk about how nice I am to do that for Raven, I roll my eyes. We go to the living room, where we relax and talk while drinking. I look at Raven.
I nod to Brie as she pushes the play button, and I say, "I've tried over and over to explain how you should disregard all the gossip, so perhaps this song will help you listen." I extend my hand,
"Can I have this dance?" I ask her, reaching for her hand
She takes my hand while beaming. As we dance, I put my arms around her waist and she wraps her arms around my neck. The music is loud, and I want her to know that I'm hers and hers alone. I can't stop thinking about how beautiful she appears while in my arms. There's always something in her eyes.
"Can we go to Ryker's point?" She asks as she blushes.
"Right now?"
She shakes her head, so we inform Brie and Logan that we will be gone for a little while. I ignore the suspicion they inspire in me and move on to fetch a shirt and put on my new boots despite the suspicious look they give me. I grab my keys, give Raven a brief kiss, take her hand, and then I go out the door and towards my car as she waits patiently at the front. I'm stopped by Raven, who extends her hand to take my keys.
"Nope", I laugh.
"I'm driving, so hand me keys," She bashes those long black eyelashes at me and I cave.
