⚠️ This is my warning that there is smut ahead. (Mamma, nästa kapitel.)

The plane landed a little earlier than expected and I was lucky to get a taxi right away.

I was so excited I could barely sit still. The butterflies in my stomach were more like a swarm of buzzing bees. The flight had been less than an hour and a half, but I couldn't concentrate on the movie I tried to watch or on the book my sister had recommended.

But then I'd been nervous even before the flight took off. I'd changed my outfit four times before I made myself leave the house and then again, one more time at Aubrey's house when I dropped off Selma.

"I like the dress much better, Aunt Elli," Brielle told me after I changed out of the capri pants and short-sleeved blouse I'd left my house in and put on a maxi dress with pink and red flowers.

"Is it because it's pink?" I asked.

She giggled and nodded.

I'd given my sister a questioning look, hoping for her opinion, but all she had responded was, "that I better get to the freaking airport before the plane leaves without my sorry ass on it." At which time Brielle had a giggling fit. "You said a bad word, mama."

Aubrey rolled her eyes and pushed me towards the door. "Go. Enjoy, have fun, get some d."

"Aubrey," I gasped.

"Oh, you need it. It's about damn time," she said and closed the door behind me.

Luckily, Brielle didn't understand that yet.

The hotel Austin had chosen was on the smaller side, but very charming. The front door opened up to a small lobby with only a couple of concierges. There were fresh flowers on an oval table near a curved staircase with intricate metal spindles that led from the lobby up to the first floor. And I absolutely loved the small coffee nook off to the left with the large windows that overlooked a side street.

I knew the room Austin had rented was on the fifth floor, which was also the top floor, so I went straight for the elevator in the back. Austin had already checked in, so there was nothing for me to do.

I touched up my lip gloss in the elevator and popped a breath mint in my mouth.

My hands were clammy when I finally knocked on the hotel room door. I had to knock twice before the door cracked open an inch and Austin's brown eyes peered out at me. He unlatched the door with a huge smile and stepped aside, allowing me inside.

"Hi," he said with that beautiful smile that made my heart race.

"Hi," I responded with an equally large smile.

He pressed his lips to mine and slid the door shut behind us. It was a chaste kiss, but at the same time it was the best greeting I'd ever had. I didn't even realize until the door closed behind him that his hair was wet and rumpled and he had a towel around his waist. That he only had a towel, which left so much enticing tanned skin on display.

We stared at each other, but my eyes kept drifting from his down over his broad chest, and over his tight stomach to the happy trail which disappeared in under the towel.

Damn, he was a sight to be seen, and I was nowhere prepared for it.

"Let me just change," Austin said with a chuckle and pointed to what I assumed was the bathroom. I nodded, too stunned to do anything, but then thought better of it. I didn't want him to cover all that beautiful skin.

I dropped my bag on the ground, right there in front of the door, and stepped into him. I put my hands on his warm body, and damn if it didn't make those buzzing bees in my stomach swarm even more.

"Missed you," I said into his shoulder as I made my intentions clear. I wanted to spend as much time as possible close to him. Touching him. We had so much lost time to make up for.

Austin smiled and bent down to kiss me again. My eyes closed as our lips touched, and my mouth opened for him, welcoming him to take whatever it was he needed from me. His arms wrapped around my back and flexed as he hauled me up against him. When his tongue touched mine, I moaned into his mouth and wished my clothes would fall off.

My entire being was on sensory overload. The scent of a clean, fresh man-my man- and the taste of mint on his soft and warm lips together with the heat from his body and the strength in the way he held me made my knees buckle.

But Austin had me, and it didn't take long until he had me on the bed. We tugged and pushed at each other. Gasped and moaned as we reconnected.

I couldn't get enough of him. He was everything I wanted, and he was right there. It wasn't a dream. He was real, in the flesh, and what an amazing sight that was in the evening glow.

Austin made my dress disappear, and I tugged at his towel, which fell off like I'd unwrapped a birthday present. His cock hung heavy between his legs, pointing right at me.

We didn't talk at all. We just acted. Facing each other up on our knees, we made sure I was as bare as he was. We moaned into each other's mouths as our naked bodies touched again for the first time since Maine. His arm wrapped around my back, my boobs pressed against his chest, and his arousal nudged my belly.

An earthquake wouldn't have been able to stop what came next. He flipped us so I was on my back and he pushed inside of me while my hands grasped at his perfect ass, urging him to go faster, harder and deeper.

The whole thing lasted less than three minutes, but we orgasmed together with our mouths fused, and it was just what we needed.

We spent some time recovering in each other's arms before we got up and enjoyed dinner in matching hotel robes. It was so incredibly perfect and better than I'd expected.

Austin had bought Champagne and my favorite chocolates. I finished two glasses quickly and was so deliriously happy I'd completely forgotten to let my sister know I'd arrived.

"Babe, maybe you should answer your phone," Austin suggested when it rang for the third time in a row.

"Oh, shit."

I scrambled to get up from the chair and ran over to where my bag had been left in front of the door to find three missing calls from Aubrey, together with several text messages. Without even reading them, I sent her one back saying everything was great, and that I was in drinking champagne with the hottest man on earth.

"Good," she responded. "Get some."

I giggled as I typed back, "already did."

"Everything okay, babe?" Austin asked.

I turned back to where he sat in the wingback chair with his leg bent, ankle resting over his other knee, and those smoldering dark eyes focused on me.

Yeah. Everything was good. In fact, they'd never been better.
