I hear a knock on the door and I quickly answer. Kelly is standing there and bows, "Dinner is ready, princess." I nod and she runs off. I through a blanket with my stuff and make my way down to my last meal with my father.

I walk in and again I see my father and Drue sitting there. Is he just part of the royal family now? I walk in and sit down. Drue and Dad both have huge steaks. I wait for my food however none comes. I sigh knowing my dad requested no food for me again. "If I am not eating may I please be excused?" My dad swallows, "No. You will sit here. You would have food if you did not let yourself go." I roll my eyes. Just because my stomach isn't as flat as a piece of paper does not mean I need to skip meals. I should never have to skip meals. My dad clears his throat and Drue nods. Suddenly Drue wipes off his hands and grabs mine. I try to pull back but he has a firm grip. "Ivy Rose Godfrey, I know you might not be very enthusiastic about our marriage however I promise to be as good as husband as King." He slides a ring engraved with diamonds onto my finger and finally lets go of my hand. I rip my hand away. My father smiles, "The night before Zilla's execution there will be a masquerade ball. We will announce the marriage then."

"No."

My father and Drue both look at me. I stand up, "I have said multiple times I-" I take off the ring, "Will never marry you Drue Noire." I toss the ring into Drue's gravy. "Kiss my ass." I do a mocking curtsy and walk out of the room happy with their stunned silence.

I run to the kitchen where maids are cleaning up after dinner. Head cook Hailey walks up to me, "What do you need your majesty?" I smile, "Would I be in the way if I made a sandwich quickly?" I need to eat before I go. Hailey smiles back, "I will make it for you, just wait right here, princess." I bow my head, "Thank you." She whips me up a sandwich quickly and hands me it and an apple. "Anytime you're hungry, just ask." "Thank you so much, Hailey." Her curly red hair falls out of her bun as she curtsies, "Anytime."

I hurry back up to my room eating on the way. I finish everything by the time I reach my door. I throw away the apple core and hurry to get changed as the sun sets. I take off the red tool ballgown and put on the black travel dress. Or assassin dress? I don't know what it is. I open the bag of weapons and gear up. I put the sword in the scabbard and put the quiver on. I hang the bow on my back and grab the blanket and food.

I'm as ready as I'll ever be.

I sit on my balcony and watch the sunset.
