Christian Gabriel's pov
After Storm and my magical dance, she had kissed my cheek softly and walked away. I could still feel my skin tingling where she had kissed me and I had goosebumps.The dance floor filled with people and the music changed to more upbeat. I saw Storm making her way to the ladies, so I joined the clique. They told me that everything was going well so far and that I had done such an amazing job, Storm wouldn't say no. My palms were getting sweaty and I was nervous. I wanted to ask her to be my girlfriend and I was scared she would reject me. But not only that, it was difficult to steal her away for even a few moments because people surrounded her all the time, either pulling her to dance or just talking to her and giving her their gifts.
So I mingled with the other guests, some of my friends or business associates all the while keeping a close eye on her. There was a fountain outside that was decorated with candles and I was hoping to take her there to ask her to go out with me and would also then give her my gift. I had told Jess and Bell to make up an excuse and tell her to go to the fountain. She looked so beautiful tonight. I watched her as she talked to the guests, laughing and making jokes. You'd never think that she carried the weight of the world on her shoulders like she did when she worked. She made everything seem so easy.
After quite some time I saw her walking away somewhere. I thought she was headed to the fountain so I made my way in that direction but when I got there she wasn't there. I waited for 15 minutes and there was no sign of her. I doubted the girls told her to come, seeing as Storm was surrounded by people throughout the evening so I headed back inside with my gift. I scanned the crowd for Storm but there was no sign of her. So I went to look for the clique.
Finally I saw Michael and approached him. "Hey have you seen Storm bro?" "Um yeah, I saw her leaving. She told Landon she wasn't feeling well so she went home" he said. "Okay I'll leave then. I'll go past her place and make sure she's okay and I'll drop off her all her gifts as well" I said trying to not make it so obvious. So the guys helped load the gifts into my car and I headed off to her place. I coming for you Storm, I thought as I drove away.
