The heart still cares for You...

After a successful weekend of finding dresses for the homecoming dance, Louis was still intent on getting Yibo's attention when they returned to school on Monday. He reminded Zhan of his plan to come to the library during their tutoring session and ask Yibo to go to the homecoming dance. The idea of watching Louis basically seduce Yibo was sickening, but he had to at least pretend to be ok with it. Zhan was relying on his belief that maybe Yibo would turn down Louis's advances.

Zhan and Yibo were working on equations when Louis walked over to them. Yibo kept working because he thought Louis was there to see Zhan.

"Hey Zhan, how are you? What's up?"

"Nothing, Lui, just helping Yibo with some math work. Yibo, you know Louis, right?"

Yibo was confused, but he turned to Louis and answered the question anyway. "I've seen you around."

"I'm Zhan's best friend, but we're more like brothers. So, Socio, are you liking it here at Lotus High?"

Zhan was upset that he even dared to address him using that name. "Louis, his name is Lan Yibo."

Yibo looked at Zhan because he was surprised he was getting all defensive, and he wondered why he seemed so uncomfortable.

"I know his name is Yibo, but Socio is so much hotter. So, Lan Yibo, are you hooking up with anybody around here?" Louis was looking at him with eyes full of lust.

"Um, no Louis, I've only been here for a week. I don't think I plan on having sex with the first person I see. It's not really my style. Besides, I plan on saving myself for someone special." Yibo stared at Zhan out of the corner of his eye, while Zhan's current facial expression practically screamed discomfiture.

"Well, aren't you cute. Listen, how about you go to homecoming dance with me? I'm running for homecoming queen, dress up you see...haha.. and I'll probably win, so it'll look good if you show up with me."

Yibo saw the Louis posters all around school, but he saw Zhan's posters as well. "Are you so sure you're going to win? Wei's running, too."

"Well, of course it'll be between the two of us. So anyway, what do you say? Want to go with me?"

Yibo was and never would be interested in someone like Louis, but he was wondering if he could use this date to his advantage and make Zhan jealous. Without giving it another thought, he accepted. "Yeah, sure, what would it hurt? It's just one date."

"Great, I'll get your number from Zhan later, and we'll talk. Bye, guys."

Zhan watched as Louis left the library while he was busy trying to hide his shock. Yibo actually fell for that. He really didn't want Yibo to become a pawn in Louis's Sex games. He could tell himself that it was about anything but his jealousy, but Zhan himself knew the truth.

Yibo broke the silence. "Why didn't you tell me your friend had a crush on me?"

"He only mentioned it once. You didn't tell me you were interested in him either," Zhan fired back.

"Is that a problem? Do you not want me dating your friend? Is he too good for a convicted murderer?

Zhan couldn't believe the words coming out of his mouth. " Yibo - what are you-that has nothing to do with it. Just be careful, ok? Louis likes to have sex, lots of it, and I just don't want to see you hurt."
