CHAPTER4: For He is Obnoxious and She is Annoying

"Wake up, Will!" I said turning the light on, his cake in my hand and Dylan and Levi by my side.

Will only slightly moved but it was clear he wasn't going to be waking up any time soon unless we were to force him out of bed.

Dylan ripped the covers off him and shouted, "Happy birthday!"

William never was much of a morning person and now he was definitely not a Dylan person. Will immediately made deadly eye contact with him before grumbling angrily and swinging his legs over the bed.

He went to lunge for Dylan but I was quick to stop him by smashing the cake in his face.

Levi nearly doubled over in laughter as he held his stomach. His face was red from laughing but he couldn't stop as cake slid off of William's face.

He looked beyond pissed so before he could grasp what had just happened, I made a beeline for downstairs and to seek out a hiding place.

But of course, I just had to slip on the hardwood in my fuzzy socks and hit the ground. I heard feet pounding against the stairs as all three of my brothers came running in, William in front, cake still smeared on his face.

I scrambled to my feet as quickly as I could and ran into the kitchen. I dove over the small island in the middle of the kitchen and hastily went to grab the back door when two arms grabbed me and pulled me off my feet.

Dylan and Levi were both laughing as William fought against my hold. As he tightened one arm around me, he wiped cake on my face with the other.

I pushed him away and huffed in annoyance. "That's not fair! You're bigger than me!"

He laughed and wiped the rest of the cake off with a towl. "Whatever, Lissa. You had of coming."

I dropped my glare that I had on him and smiled. "Happy birthday, Will." I gave him a tight hug

"How's it feel to be twenty-one?" Levi asked as he jumped to sit on the island.

"I feel the same." He said just as Dylan came back in with another cake.

"Woah, no. No more smashing cake in my face." Will said holding his hands up and stepping back.

Levi laughed and took the cake from Dylan. "This one is to eat, you baby."

We ended up having cake for breakfast and enjoyed the morning together, much like we always do but today was special and I was sure to make it Will's best birthday ever.

Once we cleaned up the kitchen and chatted a bit, we decided to take Will to the fair downtown since it was a fairly warm day.

I pushed myself from the table and walked up the stairs, more determined than ever to be sure Will would never forget this day. His last birthday was of course unforgettable, but I wanted him to really know how much we appreciated everything he did for us.

I took a quick shower and then changed into a long sleeved burgundy top and black yoga pants. I ran a brush through my wet hair before pulling it up.

As I waited for the boys to finish getting ready, I sat in the living room and watched Castle until I heard the doorbell ring.

I paused the tv, not daring to miss a scene and scurried quickly to the door. I pulled it opened and frowned when I saw who stood before me.

"Cameron?"
