Chapter 2 - Incertitude

A large pink sakura tree surrounded by a large lake is seen, its seemingly endless leaves keep falling down into the water. There is also a simple red bridge going over the water and is a little bit far from the large sakura tree, all of this made the place seem like it came right out of a painting

The red bridge is connected to a platform. On the platform, there are multiple females seated. All of the females that are seated seem to share a similar trait; all of them has an extra animal part, whether be it tails, ears, or horns

All of them are seated in a seiza style and on a box formation

"This is surprising indeed." A young looking girl said, she has long fox ears and wearing an outfit that is revealing

"Nagato-sama... What are we going to do with this mysterious shipgirl that the 17th destroyer fleet found?" A young looking girl with white hair, red eyes, and a pair of metal ears which looks like horns asks the other young looking girl -now identified as Nagato

"We expected to find something along the lines of an aircraft carrier, but we found a super battleship instead. Besides, we don't even know if this battleship is an ally or not." A woman who has long brown hair, brown fox ears and nine brown fox tails said

"Hm, expect things to not go to what you expected, even Shinano herself doesn't know much about the battleship aside from the estimated length of the ship as she only saw a silhouette of it and nothing else." Nagato explained

"Shinano? Isn't she that aircraft carrier? How is she connected to this?" The brown haired fox girl questions Nagato, the said person only furrows her brows in confusion to her questioning before arriving at a conclusion

"It seems Amagi has failed to inform you before her passing. Listen closely, Akagi along with you two, as I will only say this once. I expect that all of you will keep this a secret." Nagato announced, in which Akagi along with the other two occupants listened closely

"Before I would say what her powers are, I should say how she was made first to better understand her powers." Nagato said to them

"As you already know, Shinano was a converted aircraft carrier, she was originally planned as a super battleship that was made to counter any possible Azur Lane counterparts. But Shinano was the only one completed even though she was completed as an aircraft carrier while her two sister ships were cancelled and later scuttled in accordance with the Washington Naval treaty." Nagato explained as the brown haired fox girl -Akagi- nodded in understanding, the other two females in the room also quietly listened in

"That is what was explained to the Upper half rear admirals like all of you before, but that is not the case for the admirals and other high officers." Nagato announced a piece of information that they didn't know about. The other three then readies themselves mentally for what was to come as Nagato silently suggests that what she was about to say is considered classified information

"Shinano's hull was taken secretly to the reconstructed northern siren base. The Eagle Union didn't know she existed at the time; that information helped us transport Shinano to the northern base. The Watatsumi was also later brought to the northern base to test what it could do." Nagato suddenly revealed which shocks the other three occupant

"Watatsumi? The ritual item on the Diadem of Light? Why that of all things? And what do you mean by 'what the Watatsumi could do' Nagato-sama?" A slightly brownish silver haired woman with extra feathers on top of her head that looks similar to fox ears
