(Greyhat's POV)

Everyone goes quiet. Did I actually say that?! I can't believe this! I'm so humiliated. I look away pretending I never said anything. The silence is broken by Ace's laughter.

"Damn Greyhat, you move fast." His laughs start to die down. "If you wanted to go on a date so badly then you could have just asked." 

"W-what?" I blush, he starts writing something down on his notepad, he rips off a page, folds it, and places it in my pocket. 

"Meet me at Zozo's at 10, text me if plans change." He smiles, then gets up out of his seat. "Well, I'm gonna get back to work, enjoy y'all!" Then he runs off back behind the counter. I sit there shocked, what just happened? I snap out of it to look at my drink, I grab it and bring it back up to my mouth, I was about to take a sip when I caught everyone at the table staring at me. 

"What?"

"What!? Are you kidding me Greyhat? You just got asked out and you're acting like nothing happen!" Flug shouted.

"Damn, that was faster than expected." Lucifer chuckles.

"It was so obvious, it was almost sickening to watch." Blackhat smiles.

"I-I- What?" I shook my head. "What just happened? I felt so- nauseous and hot."

"That's what we call 'having a crush' dear." Lilith explains.

"Wow, that was- interesting." I was surprised, I fell for Ace? That's why I felt sick? This is not what it showed being in love felt like in the movie.

"I guess being gay runs in the family hah!" Whitehat laughs, Slug snickers.

"That's really what that feels like?" I ask.

"Yep, you feel sick to your stomach and can barely keep your sentences straight." Blackhat rolled his eyes.

"Do I have to go?" I ask again, I had so many questions.

"Do you not wanna go?" Flug asked.

"No, no, I do I just- don't understand."

"It's alright dear, love is a hard concept to understand, you never know who your gonna fall for until you do." Lilith says finishing her drink.

"Said it perfectly darling," Lucifer says to Lilith, she thanks Lucifer, then Lucifer looks at me. "Just be careful Greyhat."

"Careful?"

"Well, Ace is a bit hard-shelled, doesn't let many people in. Why, your gonna be his first date in a while."

"Oh." Was all I could say. He chose me? He could have choose anybody, someone he was better acquainted with, someone from around here, literally anyone. but he chose me, thinking this way make me happy and much more excited. "Can we head back to Lucifer's place?" 

"Oh? Excited for your date are we?" They all laugh, I just get up smiling. I get out of my seat and start to follow the group out, I look back at the counter thinking I felt someone staring at me from over there. No one was there, I kept walking out until I was out of the door.

(Ace's POV)

I look from in the kitchen out at the door, watching them leave. My eyes were really directed at Greyhat, watching him as he followed the group, his head turned to look in my direction, causing me to duck behind a wall. When I looked back, he was gone. Once he left, my mind started to go off on me. 

Oh my Satan! Did I really just do that? I just asked out someone I barely knew. Sure he was cute but I literally didn't know anything about him except that he liked my Chocolate Mocha. I facepalmed, ashamed of what I did, but then my mind took a turn. Maybe this will be good for me, getting out there more, one date won't hurt right? I didn't stop to answer the question, instead I sighed and decided to go home and get ready for my date.

(Time Skip) 

(Ace's POV)

I walk into the hotel, trying to get past everyone without being questioned. "Oh hey Ace! How's it going?" I stop to look over at Charlie and the others sitting at the bar, staring at me with smiles on there faces.

"Oh umm, fine, just got done with work, so I'm gonna head up to go get into some comfier clothes so I can head to bed soon, I'll be right back down." I start heading up the stairs.

"Oh, I don't think suits are the comfiest clothes to go to bed in Ace." I hear Al say, stopping me on the steps.

"W-what? What suit?" I chuckle nervously.

"Oh, the suit for your date of course~" Angeldust says, Nifty snickers under her breath.

"H-how?" I was so confused.

"Well me and Vaggie went by the Café earlier and heard you ask someone out on a date, Greyhat right?" Charlie smiled smugly.

"You- you were eavesdropping? That's so unlike you Charlie." I was kind of upset not realizing they were there sooner.

"Yeah, I know, but I'm so happy for you! You haven't gone on a date in so long, so it's great to see residents like yourself here get out of their comfort zones and try new things." She smiles. I groan.

"Yeah, well I should go get ready, I don't want to be late." I start going back up the stairs. I was then stopped again.

"You really like him huh toots?" Angeldust asks. I blush a little.

"He's nice and- sweet so yeah." I rub the back of my head.

"You think you might bring him to the party?" Nifty says excitedly.

"Geez guys, stop trying to rush things, it's only the first date, sides I barely know the guy." I wave them off. I look back to see Nifty who has a bit of an upset look on her face, I sigh. "We'll see alright Nifty?" Her and Charlie jump a little in excitement. I smile a little and start heading up again, this time I made it all the way to my room, I got in and grabbed my suit out of my closet, it was black over coat and white buttoned undershirt. I took a second, holding it up to eye level, just staring at it, I sigh loudly.

"I hope this goes well." 

(Vaggie's POV)

As Ace left the room everyone started to scatter, I looked to Charlie still smiling in excitement. I got closer to her and whispered in her ear, "Told ya you didn't have to get into his business for him to find someone." I chuckle as I get up and walk off not looking back to see her reaction. I am glad Ace was able to find a date, I just hope his past doesn't get in the way. I can see that he's still holding on to something, I may not know what, I just- know it. I continue walking down the hallway. 

"Just let go Ace, just this once, just maybe you'll like it." I smile, walking into the elevator, I press the button to go up. Soon the doors of the elevator shut completely, sending me to the next level.
