Daliah's POV
I was on my way home after delivering the orders and it was close to 12 am. As I was going through the woods, I spotted a man in the middle of the road showing no signs of getting out of my way.
I screeched to a halt but apparently not fast enough, because the next thing I knew is that my motorcycle had bumped into him, and there was a dull thud.
I hurriedly jumped off my bike to apologise but I paled at the sight and my eyes widened in horror. The guy looked like he just came outta WW3!
I took a step back as my hand flew to my mouth. He was unconscious too. I felt a pang of guilt when I realised that was probably because of me. Blood dripped from his head and there were bruises all over his body. I snapped out of my daze and tried calling the ambulance.
Keyword tried.
There was no signal, courtesy of the clouds being depressed as fuck. Seeing only one option I dragged him to my baby and hauled him over it. Climbing on myself I secured his arms around my waist and raced towards the hospital, sucking up the intense pain in my back due to his chest pressing on it.I was drenched. The rain wasn't very merciful, but that didn't stop me from loving it.
As I sped towards the hospital I felt the guy behind me tighten his arms around my waist but he was still unconscious.I got off my bike and somehow brought him inside the hospital by supporting his weight on my shoulders. One look at him and the receptionist's eyes widened. She called someone, speaking frantically. A few seconds later nurses hurried in the waiting room with a bed and placed him on it.
"The wound on his head is major so we're gonna have to take him to the surgery ward. Please wait here." one of them said in a calm voice but her eyes were slightly disturbed.
I groaned and plopped down on one of the chairs, falling asleep in a matter of minutes despite my dripping clothes.

Someone was gently calling out to me and shaking my body slightly.
Where was I? Who was this person?I woke up with a start and snapped my head to the nurse who was waking me up. She smiled sweetly, and spoke, "Hello. I assume you are the one who brought the injured man here about four hours ago?"
Four hours ago!!??
I checked my phone and it was, indeed, almost 4 in the morning. I had gotten some sleep so I didn't feel too drained out. I nodded and the nurse escorted me to his room even though I wanted to be far far away from the guy I almost killed.
I pushed the door open and peeked inside. He was still asleep. Good.
"He should be awake anytime now." the nurse smiled. I just nodded back and sat down beside the bed. I looked at him for the first time then. Like, I really noticed what he looks like. He had sharp and raised cheekbones, a straight nose, full lips, and a slight beard. His body was...impressive, I admit. His abs and chest were outlined through the hospital gown and his biceps were straining through the sleeves.
Any other woman would have swooned and blushed and stared and done other disgusting things, but not me. I just observed and looked away hoping he woke up soon so I could get this over with.
My wish was answered for once.
I looked at him as his eyes fluttered open and for a second he looked up in confusion, a slight furrow in his brows. Then his eyes started looking around and when they landed on me he inhaled sharply and scrambled to get farther away from me on the bed.
Cute.
Wait huh-NO NOT CUTE!
