Chapter 6 : Uncounted For.
Victoria
I was now under Torian's supervision , being taken care of by this handsome man. He saw me sitting on the steps and begged me to come in, I was stubborn at first. Of course I gave in, but I didn't actually want to.
"You can't leave now that you're wanted Victoria..." he debated sitting on the arm of the couch with his arms beneath his chest.
He looked delicious, just by sitting there.
"I can't stay here... It's too dangerous..." I assured him, I told him that a thousand times.
He didn't get it.
If I stayed here he was going to be devastated, if I was to leave he'll be... Even more devastated.
I groaned and rubbed my face roughly. "You can't see me like this... It's too much for you..." I explained.
He let out a frustrated sigh and got up heading my way, he sat on the side of me and took my hand in his.
"Whatever you are going through... I'm going through it too Victoria. You're not going to put me in any more danger than what I am in now. I saved you just because I wanted to, not because I was forced. I am welcoming whatever dangers that lurk in OUR way... No matter what the cost. I will be here every dying minute, hour and second. There is no way I'm going to back out now! I'm too deep in a game that I never knew started. You can't make me change my mind. It's already made. You are going to accept this and forget about you leaving because you are not going anywhere and neither am I... " He finished.
I already had tears in my eyes at this point, I wasn't going to let them fall exposing my emotions to him.
He didn't care if he was to die... He wanted to be here even if it killed him. It was cute really, but it was not the best choice for him.
Because at the end both of us will get burned.
I smiled weakly at him and grasped him into a hug. My face was just in the nape of his neck, he smelled good.
The smell of freshly washed clothes and a sweet citrus fragrance.
I pulled away searching his hazel eyes, there was no going back now. Torian already fell for me, I did too. I fell for him when he stayed at the hospital with me.
No one has ever showed me so much care in the world, other than my foster mom. She was everything to me, and still is.
"How about you get some sleep?" he suggested and went over to get some blankets out of a closet.
I nodded. I indeed needed some shut eye, I was too exhausted from the events that happened today.
The cool feeling of the blanket touched my skin as I laid down, he put the blanket over my body. I pulled a pillow behind my head and relaxed.
"Sweet dreams Victoria..." he said kissing my forehead. I closed my eyes at the feel. He was truly a good man, He took in a girl that was as troubled as they come.
And I thank him for that.
-*****
Sun pricked at my eyes, the aroma of breakfast food hit me in a instant making my eyes shoot open.
I stared at the ceiling for awhile before drawing back the blanket and swinging my legs to the floor.
The cool floor graced the bottom of my feet as I stood up slowly, sadly my full bladder decided that I had to go to the bathroom.
