Chapter 10 : Crazy Exceptions.

Miles

I sat in the waiting room of the hospital, I was exhausted. I don't know what happened to her but I just know I found tubes of blue liquid splattered all over the wall. It was like she was in a rage just throwing it on the wall. I could imagine how she felt Victoria has been going through so much.

I wondered what it was, I wanted to know so badly. Something had to make her pass out the way she did. She was foaming at the mouth and her heartbeat was going erratically fast. It scared me a little because I didn't know what to do. I didn't know how to fix her, I felt like she died in my arms, she was so cold.

"Here you go..." Tristan said to me.

He came back from getting us coffee, hands in front of him steady not to let the milky liquid fall from the foam cups.

He stood there in front of me and handed me a cup, I took it gracefully careful not to spill it.

"Thanks.." I sad to him as we both sat.

I sighed and sipped the drink slowly, trying not to burn my tongue.

Tristan sighed. "I remember when I first met her. She was so straight forward and feisty. I always wanted to know why she was in the woods at that time of night. When she told me why days later, I couldn't do anything but smile. She has a good heart, Victoria will always be remembered whether if she dies or not." he said taking several sips of his coffee.

We indeed did know she was dying, it was sad really. She was so full of life and joy, its too early for her to leave this world. The virus that's going around town did not reach here in Boston, it shocked me that I would know a person that has it and quickly grow fond of him or her. It would hurt when they did-- she dies. I would feel guilty because there was nothing I could have done.

"Espinoza..." A nurse said with wondering green eyes around the waiting room.

Tristan and I stood to Victoria's last name, walking towards the nurse in a blue lab coat.

"Yes? Is she going to be okay?" I asked hoping to get good news.

The nurse nodded and started to walk over to a big glass window that showed Victoria present. She laid there with tubes up her nose and I.V. buddies hooked to her arm. I found myself smiling, as her chest rose up and down indicating she was breathing well.

"Hi, I'm nurse Demona. She will be out for awhile... Her vitals are good. She lost a little blood but that's okay. She will be ready to go back home today. I found traces of this in her blood..." Nurse Demona said pulling out a plastic tube.

Blue liquid stood inside the small tube, making my eyes open wide in surprise. That was the same stuff I found on the wall just splattered there.

"What is that?" Tristan asked.

The nurse smiled. "It's a cure. Somehow combined with the virus it helps it stop spreading." Demona beamed.

I smiled. "So it helped her?"

Demona frowned. "Like I said Mr. Eaton Victoria is fine... She has no virus. I will check again if you want to make sure." she offered.

Both Tristan and I nodded.

Following nurse Demona in Victoria's room, she prepared to check her out. Tristan looked at me as if saying 'I hope this works.' I smile and pat him on the back.

Turning our attention to Demona, her expression seemed confused in the mix of frustrated.

"Is something wrong?" I ask.
