The light flickered on and everyone was spread out. They were panting and crying, traumatized as they tried to calm down. Eddie shakily hugged Richie, who was trying to calm the shorter boy down.
Beverly, Mike, Stanley and Ben were crammed on the side of the traumatic experience. Mike looked up at the three at the other end of the hall, Bill, Richie and Eddie.
Eddie was on the ground, arms wrapped around Richie as he sobbed into the taller boy's shoulder out of fear. Richie sat on his legs as he held onto Eddie, one hand around his waist tightly and the other on his head. Richie wasn't crying, he was just trying to calm him.
"Eddie," Bill stammered out, crawling over to the boy. He exchanged eye contact with Richie, who just looked over at the other four.
"Eds, calm down. It's over," Richie mumbled.
Eddie sniffed and tried to take deep breaths, which turned into sharp gasps for air. Richie grabbed the spare inhaler that he brought for Eddie everywhere he went and held it up to the boy. Eddie used it, which seemed to calm him. Richie glanced up at Bill and motioned to the four.
Bill nodded and looked over. "G-guys!" he yelled, and they all four turned.
Eddie sat up, staring down as he sniffed. Richie placed a light hand on Eddie's chin, bringing his face up. They made eye contact.
"You okay, Eds?" Richie asked, and Eddie nodded. Richie offered him a smile, which the shorter boy exchanged.
The three stood and walked over to the group of four, setting off again to the now open hallway. Stanley peeked over to corner of the room and into the next dark hallway and flinched.
"Shit," he whispered, jumping.
"What?" Beverly asked, walking over and looking down the hall. It was completely dark. Though, a weird creature, which you could only see the face of, stood at the opposing end, shaking as if it were having a seizure.
"We walk up to it, it disappears!" Richie said, walking into the hallway with zero hesitation.
"Richie! Stop it!" Beverly whisper-yelled.
"Richie!" Bill called as well. The Losers were trying to get the boy to stop, but he wasn't listening.
Richie walked over to the creature, only a few feet away did it scream and jump at Richie, who stumbled back. The creature disappeared and the light turned on, giving away a door. Richie panted and looked backwards at the group.
"See?" he said between breaths. "Magic."
The Losers let out breaths they didn't know they were holding in, and Eddie walked over with the group, punching Richie in the shoulder with lots of strength and a mad frown.
"Don't fucking do that," Eddie mumbled. Richie nodded.
"Sorry, spageds," he replied. Eddie just ignored the nickname and continued to the door that had been revealed.
"Richie, don't do that again. What if it attacked you?" Beverly said to him.
"Easy. Left, right, goodnight," Richie said, holding up fists to mock it. She sighed.
"Whatever. Don't scare us like that, dickhead!" She punched his shoulder as well. Richie chuckled and they entered the dark room.
"It's the same shit!" Eddie complained, pinching the bridge of his nose. He was right. Same hallways that is has been for a bit.
"Guys, over here," Ben called. The Losers looked up to see Ben and Mike over at the same chair that had been in the corner of two connected halls.
"Flashlights?" Stanley mumbled as they walked up to them.
