Team 7 passed the Genin test, much to Garan's annoyance. After that, Garan Shundo and left his team to meet with the 2 Root Anbu. Fu and Torune appeared once again and guide Garan to meet their leader, Danzo.
The Root Anbu base is surprisingly outside the village. Garan thought that for an old man with elder position in the village, he probably doesn't want the Hokage to know or find out where it is.
Garan found Danzo to be the deceptive and sly type of person. He is probably the closest person Garan can describe to a Demon. He can tell that the old man will do anything like any demon should to get what he wants.
Garan agreed to join Root Anbu, but said that the Garan mask will be the one he is using and nothing else. And that he won't accept the Slave Mark Seal and Obedient Seal, but Danzo disapproved.
Danzo: Garan-san, the seals I'm going to give you is the same seals that i applied to my men. It is to make sure that you won't disclose anything to the Hokage or anyone, like for example you are captured by the enemy.

After talking, both Garan and Danzo shunshin simultaneously. Garan summon his mask and weapon and took a fighting pose.
As for Danzo, the old man run away and stay far away from the battle as his Root Agents engage in a fight against Garan. Danzo take off his kimono and unlock the bolts in his sealed right hand.
