Killua Zoldyck sat on a pipe, glancing around a large dingy tunnel. Kicking his feet slightly, he looked around, observing the participants who've arrived so far. He was #99 so there were barely 100 applicants as of now. Only a few caught his attention.
Killua sighed, crushing the orange can in his hand. Time to go bother the juice guy again.
He paused, hearing a ding from the elevator. Turning his head slightly, he saw long lavender hair to frame a round, feminine face. There he saw a slightly taller girl about his age, Killua noted. She was wearing a white, sleeveless, button-up blouse. With a black pleated skirt, a black bow around her neck, and a tan mail bang hanging from her shoulders. But what captured his attention were bright golden eyes. They shined vividly, like the sun.
Pretty, he thought against his will.

Tsuno walked out of the elevator to be faced with a dirty dark tunnel. She stepped out curiously, glancing around. She was soon greeted by a small green creature, "Your badge. Please wear it at all times." Tsuno eyes gleamed, excitement evident on her features as she gazed at #100 on the badge.
It wasn't until the creature walked away that Tsuno caught someone staring at her. She quickly turned her head only to be met with deep blue. It was a boy, with fluffy white hair and pale skin. Tsuno blinked slowly and tilted her head to the side like a puppy. Tsuno caught a glint of mischief in his narrow cat-like eyes before he copied her movements. She face puffed into a pout, crossing her arms. Her lips parted to say something, but he was already walking away with his hands in his pockets. Tsuno huffed, before moving away to find somewhere to settle.
She leaned against the wall, sitting on a pipe. But she was soon encountered by a stout, round man. He walked towards her, his face morphed into a wide smile. Tsuno started at him blankly. He held his hand up in a wave "Hiya! You seem to be new around here, the names Tonpa!" He spoke in a high, obnoxiously friendly tone.
Tsuno nodded, "Tsuno Kroeck." She spoke flatly, not allowing him to read her emotions. "You said I looked new. Is this your second time?" He didn't look to be very strong so it wasn't very surprising.
"Aha, it's actually my 35th time so far. So I'm basically a veteran." Tonpa admitted, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck. Tsuno choked on her breath, her stoney facade crumbling as she struggled to hide her laughter.
Tonpa twitched in agitation. "Anyways.. here have a drink, as a toast to her new friendship." Tsuno paused her giggles, blinking at the word friends.
She was unfamiliar with the term, in a sense. She grew up alone, and didn't make room for any relationships. She sometimes saw young kids on her side of the block, sticking together to scavenge for food. But she never thought much of it. She didn't really know what to make of them. She was much better at other things.
She grabbed the drink slowly, before her ears twitched, hearing a far away conversation.
"There's the rookie crusher, back at it again." A voice snickered.
"He didn't bring those drinks last year, think there's something in them?"
