Clouded Mind

Bellamy is basically dragged back to the ark, his wrists tied with single-loop riot cuffs. Finn trailing a little behind him, glued to Raven's side as she's carried on a stretcher. Ahead of him, he can see the back of Murphy's head, and the boy limps with each step he takes. Looking absolutely pathetic. 'As if you look any better,' he thinks to himself. Yeah, he took a good beating. So what? He's proud, and it shows he stood up for his people, not like the coward that John Murphy clearly is.

They finally reach the ark. Bellamy looks around as a bunch of people come and go, some stopping to observe them. The guard restraining him stops, awaiting orders from Kane. That's when he spots Wells. And oh boy, has he never been happier to see that annoying face. However, he sees the boy's smile drop the moment his eyes land on Murphy. Yet he marches on toward Bellamy, ignoring Murphy's small lingering gaze. And he's glad, at least, that's his initial feeling until Murphy hides his face under the mop, which is his hair. This should feel good. Murphy deserves to feel this way. Nonetheless, it no longer feels good as he scoffs, turning himself to face a puzzled-looking Wells.

"What's with the handcuffs?" Wells asks.

"Murphy's fault," Bellamy states simply as if it were just another day at the office.

Wells simply hums. He's about to speak when he's pushed back by a guard.

"Stand back!" The guard barks.

Wells does as told and gives Bellamy a look before returning to where he originally came from. Bellamy resists the urge to sock the officer in the face.

"Keep moving!" He begins to get pushed toward an empty room in the ark. Once there, he's left alone with Kane.

The omega observes him without a word as he takes off Bellamy's plastic cuffs.

Bellamy scowls, irritated beyond belief. "How much longer are you gonna keep me locked up in here?"

"Until I am confident you are no longer a threat to others." Kane says before pulling out a chair,
"Let's continue."

Kane proceeds to ask about the grounders, how many of them there were, and what provoked them.

Bellamy could feel himself losing his patience.

"We're wasting time. The others didn't just vanish into thin air. They were taken, and we need to go after them." Bellamy tries to keep the bite out of his voice, but a trace of anger slips through.

Kane nods, "a search team is prepping to leave. But not before we've gotten the intel we need from you."

Bellamy walks forward, face to face, with Kane, and he begs, "I need to be on that team." He stops before uttering, "Please."

Kane shakes his head. Mumbling a "no" before grilling Bellamy about the grounders. Bellamy tells him everything he possibly can about their use of spears, arrows, etc. They discuss what happened during the fight with the grounders. Kane revealed the shocking fact that there were more guns hidden at the aid depot. Bellamy looks down at his shoes. 'You should've looked harder,' his brain screams at him. 'What kind of leader are you?' 'You let down your people.' 'if only you had looked properly, all of this could've been avoided.'

His thoughts are cut short by guards talking, dragging a defiant Murphy into the room. When Murphy spots Bellamy, his heart skips a beat, not in a good way. He tries to run in the other direction, away from the murderous-looking alpha, but it's of no use as the guards push him into the room.

And if Murphy can't run, he'll fake it until he makes it. The second his eyes meet Bellamy's, he cools his expression. Now, the previous terrified boy looks Bellamy up and down with indifference. Bellamy barely manages to contain his rage, but he calms down, not wanting to be put in handcuffs again.
