When they return to the ark, Abby locks herself in the conference room with Thelonious. Clarke isn't allowed in there with them. The blonde is forced to wait outside for a response from the Chancellor, along with everyone else. She paces back and forth as Finn places a comforting hand on her shoulder, willing her to calm down. So Clarke takes a deep breath which gets sucked right out of her when she sees Thelonious and her mother approaching the crowd; her mother's face is stoic, but her eyes are full of defiance.
"By now, you've all heard the rumor, and it's true the grounders are coming. Thankfully, Chancellor Jaha has made his way back to us, and we're discussing all possible options–"
Thelonious talks over Abby, "But to be safe, you all need to pack. Now. Pack anything you can. We may have to leave at any moment's notice as to where I don't have an answer. But I have heard of a city of light across the dead zone. I have faith that if we could make it down to earth, we could make it to the city of light. At the end of the day, it is a better alternative than staying and dying at the hands of the grounders. The chance alone is good enough for me."
Clarke speaks up, "Not for us." Everyone turns to look at her as she continues, "If we leave, what happens to our people in Mount Weather?"
"As your mother said, this is a very difficult decision to make," Thelonious says. "But if we are not gone by the time that sun rises, we will all die. Then all our efforts to survive would've been in vain."
"No decision has been made yet; however, we do encourage you all to gather emergency supplies and report to your station supervisor," Abby declares.
The crowd turns to whisper as they file out and return to their respective places. Clarke is about to chase after her mother when she's stopped by a hand around her arm. She turns to look at whoever is detaining her.
"Bellamy? Where have you been?" she questions. She had been worried sick about Bellamy and Octavia. Hell, she even worried about Murphy when they hadn't returned.
"In the dropship. You need to come back with me, and I'll explain everything on the way. Bring a med kit and meet at Raven's gate," Bellamy says before leaving.
Clarke is left confused as Finn approaches her. He speaks, "This is my fault. The grounders are attacking because of me."
Clarke shakes her head, "Finn, the grounders are attacking because that's what they do."
"Go with Bellamy. Your mom said no decision has been made yet. If that changes, I'll let you know," Finn whispers.
Clarke nods, taking her leave. She retrieves the med kit Bellamy had asked her to get, moving around the ark sneakily so as not to raise suspicions. The last thing she wants right now is to run into her mother or Thelonious. She should ask Wells to tag along. She smiles a bit then remembering that Thelonious has returned; Wells must be so glad to have his father back. He's probably catching up with him at the moment, and she can't possibly ask him to come along. Although Wells was concerned due to Murphy's random disappearance the other day. Clarke thinks better of it and leaves the thought be. Wells deserves to catch up with his father, so she should let them converse instead of inconveniencing him. Clarke hurries to Raven's gate, and she spots Bellamy waiting with Raven there.
"So either of you going to tell me what's going on?" Raven asks.
"Later right now we need to hurry," Bellamy states.
Clarke and Bellamy sneak through the gate with Raven's help. They march their way toward the dropship as Bellamy explains the situation. They talk as they walk.
"So you're telling me Lincoln is a reaper?" Clarke remarks.
"Yes. Octavia, Murphy, and I brought him back to the dropship," Bellamy recounts.
