Two days had passed since the gang defeated Claudia and Aaravos. The startouch elf got trapped in another prison. One that is more secure. Viren died after since it was his 30th day.
Now the gang has Claudia and the earthblood in hostage.
<><><><><><>Callum was ahead of the group with Ezran beside him. Soren and Rayla were at the back holding the ropes that tied the two.
"Callum can we take a break?" Rayla asked from the back with a small groan. "No. We need to get back to Katolis, pronto." The mage looked at the map in his hands.
"But why?" Rayla whined. They have been travelling for hours now. And it was already sundown.
Callum annoyingly turned to her.
"Did you forget we have prisoners with us?" He narrowed his eyes. Rayla looked behind her.
There was indeed other people. But they were so quiet she forgot they were even there. She even forgot that she was holding Claudia's rope. She was mildly surprised at how she didn't let go yet.
Rayla sighed.
"Callum it's already sundown. It's not really efficient to travel in the dark." Rayla tried to convince with a small smile.
Callum rolled his eyes and turned back around to continue walking. Rayla slumped down in disappointment.
Then an idea popped in her head.
She straightened herself and turned to her prisoner with an excited look.
"Can you make a spell that will convince him?" Rayla asked with hands clasped together. Claudia looked at her weirdly.
Her excited face turned into a frown knowing it couldn't be possible.
She turned back around with a pout as she walked behind the group.
<><><><><><>Reluctantly, Callum had to stop at a cave to rest.
They set up mats, food and a fire.
The group ate some bread Soren had in his bag. They paired it with some berries and fresh water from the River nearby.
They ate and talked while the other two sat in the corner, staying silent. Rayla caught a glance at them.
Claudia was looking down on her rope tied wrists while the earthblood slept on her shoulder.
She kinda felt bad. They were having all this food and the couldn't eat anything.
She hated how she wants to help them. But she also knows it's the right thing to do.
She sighed and rolled her eyes. She took a banana leaf they found not too long ago.
She broke her bread in half and layed them down on the giant leaf. She took some berries and placed the beside the bread. She stood up carrying the leaf and walked to the other side of the cave.
The others looked at her confused.
She dropped the food in front of the two making them stare at her. Well the earthblood was still asleep. It was only the mage who was awake.
Claudia mumbled a thank you before Rayla left to finish her own food.
"Why did you do that?" Soren asked her. She rolled her eyes. They were siblings but he didn't think to feed her?
"They must be hungry. It's not right for us to have all this food and not share it with them."
They stayed silent.
